Gary Payton is here. He looks like hell.
― Clay, Saturday, 24 November 2012 03:58 (thirteen years ago)
damn omen is so fearless
― Clay, Saturday, 24 November 2012 04:02 (thirteen years ago)
blazers with 0 bench points in the first half. That's getting to be a problem.
― Clay, Saturday, 24 November 2012 04:20 (thirteen years ago)
lol, meyers leonard bringing the first bench points
― circles, Saturday, 24 November 2012 04:35 (thirteen years ago)
well damn
KEVIN DING @KevinDingWhy did D'Antoni sit Pau down the stretch? "I was thinking I'd like to win this game, that's what I was thinking."
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2012 04:40 (thirteen years ago)
minnesota white out
― Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 24 November 2012 04:43 (thirteen years ago)
ridnour-shved-kiri-love-pek
kinda worried about kirilenko logging so many minutes at SF
yes whiteout was achieved! Very exciting in person, would recommend.
― Clay, Saturday, 24 November 2012 04:46 (thirteen years ago)
i hope if the wolves make the playoffs this year they give out white shirts at every game
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2012 04:46 (thirteen years ago)
Joey Crawford really brought his A game tonight.
― Clay, Saturday, 24 November 2012 04:47 (thirteen years ago)
lillard just ran up court and jacked a 32 footer with 20 left on the clock. all glass.
― Clay, Saturday, 24 November 2012 04:49 (thirteen years ago)
sounds like a plan
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2012 04:49 (thirteen years ago)
blazers shooting 42% from the line, have hit 4 more threes than they have free throws.
― Clay, Saturday, 24 November 2012 04:55 (thirteen years ago)
Derrick Williams working on his second straight DNP-CD
― Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 24 November 2012 05:00 (thirteen years ago)
yeah what's that about
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2012 05:01 (thirteen years ago)
austin daye has only played in three games this year, which is probably something that intrigues basically no one
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2012 05:02 (thirteen years ago)
vintage kobe game tonight btw, 30 points on 7-23 shooting
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2012 05:03 (thirteen years ago)
Derrick Williams has to be a better pick than Wes Johnson or Jonny Flynn, but at least they made it a full 82 games before becoming DNP guys
― Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 24 November 2012 05:04 (thirteen years ago)
the jamal crawford experience has quietly taken a turn for the worst in the last three games, btw
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2012 05:05 (thirteen years ago)
yeah well flynn & johnson are two of the worst draft picks of all time -- williams will at least stay in the league for 5 years even if he never turns out to be a player
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2012 05:06 (thirteen years ago)
crawford shooting 16-45 in the last three games. i'm no math wiz but i'm pretty sure that = garbage
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2012 05:07 (thirteen years ago)
I mean yeah I'd guess Derrick Williams breaks the 4 year barrier but this is all eerily Wes Johnson like
― Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 24 November 2012 05:10 (thirteen years ago)
Marcus Fizer got 6 years

well there's the he's black thing
― liljon /bia/ bia (k3vin k.), Saturday, 24 November 2012 05:19 (thirteen years ago)
he's shooting 36% this season
― Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 24 November 2012 05:21 (thirteen years ago)
Maybe Adelman is wrong about him and he doesn't totally stink on ice, but it's looking pretty grim
i was joking obv
― liljon /bia/ bia (k3vin k.), Saturday, 24 November 2012 05:22 (thirteen years ago)
The more I see of The Omen the more I think Anthony Davis will get a stiff fight for Rookie of the Year, and Lillard has the early lead on all scorecards.

lillard has been great, but davis main competition has been his own health to this point, if he can stay ont he court he should be scary by the end of the year
― lag∞n, Saturday, 24 November 2012 16:24 (thirteen years ago)
lmao @ #2gasols1win

sort of depends on yr tastes i guess
― lag∞n, Saturday, 24 November 2012 16:28 (thirteen years ago)
crazy that what was once considered one of the most lopsided trades ever now looks like a win/win, lakers got their rings and the grizz got to rebuild w/a comparable younger player
small sample size warning http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/51776/davis-on-pace-for-duncan-like-greatness
― lag∞n, Saturday, 24 November 2012 17:03 (thirteen years ago)
holy shit 2Gasols1Win is legendary
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2012 17:20 (thirteen years ago)
blake got hit with the "over-rated" chant by the brooklyn crowd last night and clanged two fts in spectacular fashion
vinny del negro was also protesting a non-call way too long and dick bavetta yelled clear across the court "put your hands down, vinny!"
caron butler was way out of position on a set play late in the 4th and vdn physically shoved him in the direction of the opposite corner

i forgot gerald wallace is actually a very good player when he's not hurt, he went hard at the basket a couple of times and still has decent range on his shot
― questionable motor (agent hibachi), Saturday, 24 November 2012 19:36 (thirteen years ago)
wallace is sort of proto manimal
― lag∞n, Saturday, 24 November 2012 19:55 (thirteen years ago)
Sixers GM Tony DiLeo told reporters Saturday that Bynum, who has been dealing with bone bruises in both of his knees, is officially being listed as out “indefinitely” with no timetable for his return to the court.
― Clay, Saturday, 24 November 2012 23:53 (thirteen years ago)
think portland should use their max cap space on bynum so they can replicate what could've been the greg oden era
― J0rdan S., Saturday, 24 November 2012 23:54 (thirteen years ago)
also since you guys were talking about GW I've been meaning to mention, with pdx playing brooklyn, but he was traded in exchange for the pick that became lillard and then the nets gave him $98mil so I wonder how the brass is feeling about that one.
― Clay, Sunday, 25 November 2012 00:00 (thirteen years ago)
lillard is presently a whole lot cheaper than $98mil.
― Aimless, Sunday, 25 November 2012 00:09 (thirteen years ago)
i mean clearly for the future i'd rather have the omen but if wallace can stay healthy he fits really well on the nets- he can create occasionally, swing between 3 and 4, and he and humphries can both help alleviate lopez's allergy to rebounds
i think prokhorov clearly does not give a fuck about payroll size or spending efficiency in the way basically every other team (outside of the lakers) now has to or ought to, so i'm not sure we should bother factoring that into our calculations in any net-related case
― questionable motor (agent hibachi), Sunday, 25 November 2012 00:18 (thirteen years ago)
fair enough but even if you don't give a fuck its sort of ridiculous to offer a 30 year old with an injury history whose game relies *entirely* on his athleticism $98m/5 years. It's not like Wallace can fall back on his jump shot in his declining years. (He is averaging 7, 4, and 3 in the 4 games he's appeared in this year)
― Clay, Sunday, 25 November 2012 00:36 (thirteen years ago)
even Paul Allen eventually got sick of the luxury tax
― Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 25 November 2012 00:46 (thirteen years ago)
oh no doubt I would rather have lillard and trading for wallace was pretty ridiculous on its face for just the reasons clay noted. I'm just saying the nets owners (Russian Cuban in particular) doesnt care about the price tags attached, at least for now.
I would only care insofar as drafted, rising stars are some of the most valuable commodities in ball both in absolute and value-adjusted terms. which is why phx's insistence on selling draft picks during the Nash era was so galling.
even all that said u need a lot of luck to turn draft picks after 1-2 into real winning players.
