hollinger had a piece on the celtics offensive rebounding or lack there of, ive long been suspicious of their do not contest the offensive glass strategy, tho the fact that theyve had so many great defensive teams does say something for it

moullet, Thursday, 22 November 2012 02:55 (thirteen years ago)

did you guys read zach lowe's thirty thousand word piece on why and how melo should stay at the 4 the other day

made me remember the days when a three guard set w/two points and a shooting guard sliding to sf or point and two sgs was really unusual, now it's kind of the norm, then 4s started playing the 5 normally (duncan, kg, bosh), now its 3s playing the 4 (bron, durant)

clips-okc goes to OT, good defense by russ, cp3 didn't have a backup plan for when he didn't get the switch and ended up with a terrible turnaround j at the buzzer

Clay, Thursday, 22 November 2012 04:18 (thirteen years ago)

Damn. Tyreke just blocked Metta at the rim.

EZ Snappin, Thursday, 22 November 2012 04:27 (thirteen years ago)

Tyreke should keep a close eye on Metta's elbows for the next few times down.

Aimless, Thursday, 22 November 2012 04:33 (thirteen years ago)

seems like a waste of effort when the rim usually takes care of that itself

Robin Lopez: 3 of 17

pun lovin criminal (polyphonic), Thursday, 22 November 2012 09:08 (thirteen years ago)

Brandon Roy admitted that he's dealing with level III degenerative arthritis in both knees.

Roy's knees have reached Level III arthritis, and there are only four levels. The fourth would require Roy to get a knee replacement.

Multiple doctors have told Roy to stop playing basketball, and his current condition erodes the cartilage in his knee before the cartilage disappears entirely. Roy said he wouldn't be disappointed if this is the end of the line, but it would be a sad ending to his basketball career.

know who just had a "knee replacement"? phil jackson. hes 72

moullet, Thursday, 22 November 2012 17:34 (thirteen years ago)

this is honestly ridiculous

J0rdan S., Thursday, 22 November 2012 17:57 (thirteen years ago)

The horrible thing, aside from how horrible knee replacement is in general, is that Roy will be getting them replaced so young in life that he'll eventually have to have them replaced again

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 22 November 2012 18:06 (thirteen years ago)

All Star athletes like B-Roy are very special, and they also can be very strange specimens whose thought processes do not track in the same grooves as most of us ordinary people. It kind of goes with the territory. Look at Kobe.

Aimless, Thursday, 22 November 2012 19:20 (thirteen years ago)

i told y'all it'd end in tears.

Clay, Thursday, 22 November 2012 21:53 (thirteen years ago)

liljon /bia/ bia (k3vin k.), Friday, 23 November 2012 04:17 (thirteen years ago)

so why the fuck did he come back that one time in the playoffs like 4 days after knee surgery?? do they think that had any long term effect on his knees?

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Friday, 23 November 2012 04:54 (thirteen years ago)

I've assumed his knees were already so gone that he physically couldn't really tell the difference between how he felt pre- and post-surgery.
