Haha so David Lee and Blake kinda got into it cos Blake was flopping and just before the refs spit them up Lee is in his face yelling over and over STOP FLOPPING STOP FLOPPING... I hope someone makes a gif of that.

i'm in on THE OMEN, that was a big baller three, dude looks legit

otoh lin and harden looked kind of exhausted by the 4th and def OT

asik's stat lines so far are all-time

kind of ridiculous that the c's needed every second to squeak out a win over the wizards but then for some reason that team has kind of had boston's number the last few years

watched much of bklyn-raptors and enjoyed it, cj watson was a great pickup for them and of course gerald wallace gets injured in the last couple of seconds

would love a citizen's arrest aspect of the new flopping rules so guys could report on each other and just watch it go out of control

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Sunday, 4 November 2012 12:47 (thirteen years ago)

oh and the raptors seem like they could be kind of good?

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Sunday, 4 November 2012 12:48 (thirteen years ago)

Will say both Raps and Cats look much improved this year, or at least both teams are expending much more effort. Looking out for teams w/ some bad chemistry problems to take over the bottom-of-league spots. Kings have more talent than both Raps/Cats -- and Thomas seems like a good leader -- but the Evans/Cousins/Thornton trio isn't the kind of nucleus you'd want to build around.

raptors improved from a historically bad league last defense two years ago to middle of the pack last year fwiw

lag∞n, Sunday, 4 November 2012 15:52 (thirteen years ago)

Lillard gets my full approval. My only remaining concern is how quickly rookie burnout catches up with him, playing 30+ minutes a night across a full NBA schedule. The talent is all there, and the maturity. So glad he flew under radar until his college senior season was over.

bobcats improvement could have something to do w/ better coaching - http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_nba/2012/11/pre-game-chatter-on-charlotte-bobcats-zone-defense-kembas-minutes.html

They really got raked over the coals for that hire too. Media likes it better when you hire a color commentator with funny catchphrases.

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 4 November 2012 19:18 (thirteen years ago)

VDN/jackson was 'interesting' last night

all mods con (k3vin k.), Sunday, 4 November 2012 19:24 (thirteen years ago)

the warriors are gonna be good until bogut and curry get hurt

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 4 November 2012 20:31 (thirteen years ago)

Bogut has all these injuries but never really loses any athleticism

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 4 November 2012 20:31 (thirteen years ago)

His injuries havent been chronic, just unlucky bone breaks. Im waaay more worried about Currys ankle tbf. He should just play in hiking boots or something.

Luchinski pourin' from the sky, let's get rich (what) (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Sunday, 4 November 2012 22:32 (thirteen years ago)

This Bogut sequence at 1:25 got me out of my chair.

haha Blake is the scum of the earth

Luchinski pourin' from the sky, let's get rich (what) (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Sunday, 4 November 2012 22:42 (thirteen years ago)

i dunno, looks more like "pop locking" or "jump stopping" to me, dunno what he's on about

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Sunday, 4 November 2012 22:43 (thirteen years ago)

haha this is the best time of year to look at the standings. your division leaders: knicks! bucks! 1 and 0 ORLANDO!

west...san antonio 3-0 snoooooze

questionable motor (agent hibachi), Sunday, 4 November 2012 22:44 (thirteen years ago)

Blake really is the goddam worst.

Clay, Sunday, 4 November 2012 22:47 (thirteen years ago)

yeah fuck him

all mods con (k3vin k.), Sunday, 4 November 2012 23:03 (thirteen years ago)

feel like i was early on hating howard and i hope we can all be early off the blake bandwagon

that being said both are great players

all mods con (k3vin k.), Sunday, 4 November 2012 23:03 (thirteen years ago)

yeah I mean dude is an extraordinary athlete, I just totally sympathize with lee there. everybody's played with a guy you felt was cheating a bit and after the nth time it's hard not to lose your cool a bit.

Clay, Sunday, 4 November 2012 23:13 (thirteen years ago)

the dragic/dudley/scola/gortat core for phoenix is kinda entertaining to watch. granted they're playing the magic -- and michael beasley is still hanging around -- but some nice things are happening

lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 4 November 2012 23:28 (thirteen years ago)

xp yep. and there's something so pathetic abt a guy that physically gifted making flopping a reg part of his game.

yeah i think people were kinda overstating how bad they were going to be. they won't be in playoff contention by any stretch of the imagination, but it's hard to suck that bad of you've got several decent players. there really might not be any truly horrendous teams this year

all mods con (k3vin k.), Sunday, 4 November 2012 23:50 (thirteen years ago)

oh there definitely will be

lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 4 November 2012 23:55 (thirteen years ago)

the problem is that every player on the suns besides those four is irrepressibly awful

lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 4 November 2012 23:58 (thirteen years ago)

wes johnson is truly the worst player in the history of the NFL... he shot a jumper from the top of the key in this game and hit nothing but backboard

lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 4 November 2012 23:58 (thirteen years ago)

errrr NBA

lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 4 November 2012 23:58 (thirteen years ago)

He's such a crap basketball player he should've been a tight end like Antonio Gates.

EZ Snappin, Monday, 5 November 2012 00:01 (thirteen years ago)

Kirilenko looks so good. What a strange career/player.

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 5 November 2012 00:32 (thirteen years ago)

no set of back to back top 6 pick disasters can compare to the Wes Johnson/Jonny Flynn combo. Childress/Marvin Williams is way better.

― lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Sunday, November 4, 2012 6:58 PM (49 minutes ago)

again though it's just not possible to be an all-time bad team if you have several good players, even with an awful bench. look at the bobcats last year and the suns this year. the cavs of a couple years ago had like, mo williams and antawn as their best players?

all mods con (k3vin k.), Monday, 5 November 2012 00:50 (thirteen years ago)

I watched the suns vs. the warriors and it was pretty ugly. Warriors got bored by how bad the suns were.

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 5 November 2012 00:56 (thirteen years ago)

Man Kevin Martin is killing it for the thunders

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 5 November 2012 00:57 (thirteen years ago)

for reference, the suns got massacred by THE MAGIC tonight

lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Monday, 5 November 2012 01:32 (thirteen years ago)

i for one am shocked to find out that a "week to week leg fracture" doesn't actually exist

Mike_Bresnahan: Steve Nash could miss up to four weeks with the small fracture in his left leg, a Lakers source said.

lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Monday, 5 November 2012 01:53 (thirteen years ago)

obviously the commentator is a douchenozzle but man this is damning stuff:

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 5 November 2012 01:54 (thirteen years ago)

westbrook 5-17, 12 points. Martin 8-11, 28 points.

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 5 November 2012 02:16 (thirteen years ago)

westbrook also just made a ridiculously boneheaded play saving the ball under his own basket and throwing it right to al horford for a dunk

lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Monday, 5 November 2012 02:18 (thirteen years ago)

guy isn't even really that bad; what a brutal breakdown for russ

call all destroyer, Monday, 5 November 2012 02:23 (thirteen years ago)

Jonny Flynn signs with a team in Australia

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 5 November 2012 02:25 (thirteen years ago)

better than turkey imo

lil dirk (J0rdan S.), Monday, 5 November 2012 02:29 (thirteen years ago)

where would an all-time current syracuse squad do vs other colleges if carmelo had to play with johnny flynn, wes johnson and fab melo? i guess they'd have waiters
