Jennings has tied his career high in assists in each of the first 2 games

moullet, Sunday, 4 November 2012 03:09 (thirteen years ago)

you guys know who the only other player (lillard is the 2nd) to start his career with 3 20pt/7ast games is?

kinda weird to say this since Bogut was always hurt but this team looks totally different since that trade

Clay - did you end up meeting with the appropriate people to make The Omen a reality off the board?

Not yet. I've run it by a bunch of locals who all love it. I'm supposed to have a casual meet with a couple pr folks in the coming week, but I've had meetings like this blown off more than once. I still think I can make it happen, but I'm a little worried its not "family-friendly" enough to happen above-the-board.

Clay, Sunday, 4 November 2012 03:15 (thirteen years ago)

Damian Lillard is the first NBA player to score at least 20 points in each of his first three career games since Grant Hill in 1994.

Retweeted by The NBA on ESPN

@TrailBlazersPR: Damian Lillard and Oscar Robertson are only players in NBA history w/ at least 20 pts and 7 ast in their first 3 games.

blazers should embrace goths darkness it suits your color scheme

well EZ I just got a text from a friend who posts on the message boards. I'd asked him to use The Omen a bunch. he says there were multiple posts referring to lillard by that name tonight so maybe the grass roots effort will stick!

Watched some of the Nets game and the best thing about all the new arena and that is the music they use in there. Jay must have hooked it up with full usage of the Def Jam back catalog or something cos all the music was all this classic hip hop. I think I heard the NY Finest beat in there somewhere.

Haha so David Lee and Blake kinda got into it cos Blake was flopping and just before the refs spit them up Lee is in his face yelling over and over STOP FLOPPING STOP FLOPPING... I hope someone makes a gif of that.

i'm in on THE OMEN, that was a big baller three, dude looks legit

otoh lin and harden looked kind of exhausted by the 4th and def OT

asik's stat lines so far are all-time

kind of ridiculous that the c's needed every second to squeak out a win over the wizards but then for some reason that team has kind of had boston's number the last few years

watched much of bklyn-raptors and enjoyed it, cj watson was a great pickup for them and of course gerald wallace gets injured in the last couple of seconds

would love a citizen's arrest aspect of the new flopping rules so guys could report on each other and just watch it go out of control

Will say both Raps and Cats look much improved this year, or at least both teams are expending much more effort. Looking out for teams w/ some bad chemistry problems to take over the bottom-of-league spots. Kings have more talent than both Raps/Cats -- and Thomas seems like a good leader -- but the Evans/Cousins/Thornton trio isn't the kind of nucleus you'd want to build around.

ヽ(´ー`)┌ (CompuPost), Sunday, 4 November 2012 15:48 (thirteen years ago)

raptors improved from a historically bad league last defense two years ago to middle of the pack last year fwiw

lag∞n, Sunday, 4 November 2012 15:52 (thirteen years ago)

Lillard gets my full approval. My only remaining concern is how quickly rookie burnout catches up with him, playing 30+ minutes a night across a full NBA schedule. The talent is all there, and the maturity. So glad he flew under radar until his college senior season was over.
