Jerry McNamara: Overrated or REALLY Overrated?

Pwnjabi MC (Matt Chesnut), Friday, 17 March 2006 04:54 (twenty years ago)

Oh, Iowa. The non-bracket-game-playing me loves that Texas has an easier road to the elite 8, but the one that anticipated Texas losing to Iowa is totally fucked over.

Pwnjabi MC (Matt Chesnut), Friday, 17 March 2006 19:41 (twenty years ago)

kansas's loss is a direct result of me putting them in my final four; a mizzou grad should know better. :( Oh well, I'll enjoy my one shining moment atop the fantasy rankings.

teeny (teeny), Saturday, 18 March 2006 15:24 (twenty years ago)

All my elite eight teams are still alive, which is all you can ask.

polyphonic (polyphonic), Saturday, 18 March 2006 22:21 (twenty years ago)

not the case here (thx GEORGE MASON)

j blount (papa la bas), Saturday, 18 March 2006 22:26 (twenty years ago)

6 of 8, fuck you Iowa and Okla-homo.

Erick Dampier is better than Shaq (miloaukerman), Sunday, 19 March 2006 05:32 (twenty years ago)

Okla-homo

Sub-Bayless at best.

David R. (popshots75`), Sunday, 19 March 2006 08:13 (twenty years ago)

I would have accepted Joke-lahoma.

It should be noted that among the two overall leaders, one is named "Jay Hawks? More Like Gay Hawks."

Pwnjabi MC (Matt Chesnut), Sunday, 19 March 2006 17:49 (twenty years ago)

Okla-pomo

j blount (papa la bas), Sunday, 19 March 2006 20:57 (twenty years ago)

more like sub-Ade-Langston

Haikunym (Haikunym), Sunday, 19 March 2006 21:54 (twenty years ago)

Well I'm down to 6 of 8 since that post. Ohio State and North Carolina dropped me into mediocrity.

But I still have all my final four teams!

polyphonic (polyphonic), Monday, 20 March 2006 08:30 (twenty years ago)

STOKED FOR GEORGE MASON-WICHITA STATE!

j blount (papa la bas), Monday, 20 March 2006 15:51 (twenty years ago)

I didn't put George Mason on my bracket because I thought he had perished bravely by flying that nuclear weapon into the desert in Season 2 har har

Haikunym (Haikunym), Monday, 20 March 2006 18:08 (twenty years ago)

DAMN IT!

David R. (popshots75`), Monday, 20 March 2006 18:23 (twenty years ago)

j blount (papa la bas), Monday, 20 March 2006 23:24 (twenty years ago)

My bracket says boooo, but I say yaayyy.

Pwnjabi MC (Matt Chesnut), Friday, 24 March 2006 03:48 (twenty years ago)

my name is john. i reside in chicago. (frankE), Friday, 24 March 2006 03:49 (twenty years ago)

I missed picking the Duke bounce correctly by one round. Dagnabit.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 24 March 2006 04:59 (twenty years ago)

j blount (papa la bas), Friday, 24 March 2006 07:30 (twenty years ago)

j blount (papa la bas), Friday, 24 March 2006 07:33 (twenty years ago)

Sym Sym (sym), Friday, 24 March 2006 07:42 (twenty years ago)

j blount (papa la bas), Sunday, 26 March 2006 21:10 (twenty years ago)

DOGS, CATS LIVING TOGETHER

j blount (papa la bas), Sunday, 26 March 2006 21:10 (twenty years ago)

What the balls, everyone's brackets just exploded.

Pwnjabi MC (Matt Chesnut), Sunday, 26 March 2006 21:12 (twenty years ago)

simply one of the greatest things I've ever seen in my life

Stormy Davis (diamond), Sunday, 26 March 2006 21:13 (twenty years ago)

How many games this weekend have been decided within three points and/or have gone to overtime? All of them??

Pwnjabi MC (Matt Chesnut), Sunday, 26 March 2006 21:18 (twenty years ago)

Clearly, 2006 is "Best Tournament Ever" already. What's #2?

Haikunym (Haikunym), Sunday, 26 March 2006 22:11 (twenty years ago)

i think it's great mike davis was able to find a job with enterprise rent-a-car so quickly.

my name is john. i reside in chicago. (frankE), Sunday, 26 March 2006 22:27 (twenty years ago)

I seriously don't remember the last time I've been as excited about a basketball game since that George Mason-UConn match. Gotta admit that seeing Jim Calhoun's pouty face at the end made it all worthwhile.

Aaron W (Aaron W), Sunday, 26 March 2006 23:47 (twenty years ago)

according to wikipedia it's been 31 years since there hasn't been a team from the Big Ten, Big East, Big 8/12 or ACC in the final four (though syracuse was in that year as an independent)

my name is john. i reside in chicago. (frankE), Monday, 27 March 2006 00:59 (twenty years ago)

so I'm gonna win this here pickem tournament if GMU can win one more. Otherwise, pleasant pains is going to win with his genius florida pick.

Sym Sym (sym), Monday, 27 March 2006 03:03 (twenty years ago)

check this shit out ... an actual real bracket where someone had GMU (and LSU and yoocla too!!)

Stormy Davis (diamond), Monday, 27 March 2006 03:21 (twenty years ago)

actually, the yahoo leader picked all 4: http://tournament.fantasysports.yahoo.com/men/1143123

Sym Sym (sym), Monday, 27 March 2006 03:39 (twenty years ago)

!

Stormy Davis (diamond), Monday, 27 March 2006 03:47 (twenty years ago)

Clearly, 2006 is "Best Tournament Ever" already. What's #2?

I'd almost say 2005 is #2. So many OTs and 2OTs.

As much as I hate Florida (ahem Noah), it's good to see 2 SEC teams in the Final Four.

GMU has been amazing and really deserves to make some history.

Polysix Bad Battery (cprek), Monday, 27 March 2006 14:51 (twenty years ago)

During the Stanfurd/LSU women's game, there was an NCAA commercial with a blonde with a striking resemblence to Kirsten Dunst. I didn't catch her name -- anyone know who I'm talking about?

c(''c) (Leee), Tuesday, 28 March 2006 02:56 (twenty years ago)

No more George Mason. It was too bad, too, they were really hanging in there until Humphries started making threes in his sleep in the second half. From then on, they really came down to earth and it was as if the last few weekends never happened. Still, one of the more improbable sports stories in a while.

Pwnjabi MC (Matt Chesnut), Sunday, 2 April 2006 00:24 (twenty years ago)

it needs to be said: congratulations to the gutty young ucla bruins for putting the biggest final four asswhipping in recent memory on lsu last night. so beautiful.

Pwnjabi MC (Matt Chesnut), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 03:51 (twenty years ago)

Can we congratulate the Bruins for allowing Florida to whup on them like they whupped on LSU? Or should we just start a pool to buy Noah some hair conditioner?

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 12:14 (twenty years ago)

Or maybe Steve Lavin can donate some pomade.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 4 April 2006 12:15 (twenty years ago)

all season i was saying 'o you don't have to worry about florida, they're not for real' and then of course they just roll thru the whole tourny. congrats gators.
