wichita just advanced to the nit final 75-44 over wash st...wazzou st's starters had a combined 6 pts i didnt see the game but it has to be that the coach just benched all of them?

rap lyrics Austin Rivers dropped on live television:
Today I woke up with a mindset that I have to be the best
these dudes coming after me, they don't want this test.
Every time I go to the court, man, I give it my all,
these dudes underrate me, they don't think I can ball.

If anyone stays on for Kentucky they're going to be unreal next year - they've got three of the top four ranked national prospects coming in according to scout

hey kev i saw your tweet at chad ford -- i'm assuming that he won't respond to you but this is from his insider blog from earlier this week
Jeremy Lamb, G/F, UConnTop 100 Rank: 73
Kemba Walker has been the story at UConn all year and rightfully so. His will to win has been incredible. He was remarkable in helping lead UConn to wins at the Maui Invitational and in the Big East Conference championship. Now, he's two wins away from a national title. His 56 points and 10 assists over the weekend have done nothing to dampen his momentum as a top-10 pick in the draft.
But lost amid Walker's triumphant season has been the stellar play of freshman Jeremy Lamb. Lamb has been a steady scorer all year for the Huskies, but he's taken his game to whole other level in the Big East and NCAA tournaments and has become a dangerous weapon on both ends of the floor for UConn.
Lamb had 16 points in the opening round versus Bucknell, 14 points in a win over Cincinnati, a career-high 24 points against San Diego State and 19 points in UConn's win over Arizona. For the tournament he's shooting 56 percent from the field and an incredible 11-for-15 from 3.
Lamb's length and athleticism, combined with his shooting and defense, have caught the eyes of a number of NBA decision-makers. While no one is calling for him to leave UConn yet (he needs to spend some serious time in the weight room) the comparisons to a young Rip Hamilton or a smaller Tayshaun Prince don't seem so farfetched. Another great year at UConn should land him firmly in the first round of the 2012 NBA draft.
― J0rdan S., Sunday, 3 April 2011 00:46 (fifteen years ago)
yeah i've gotten tayshaun vibes from him body-wise too
― kl0p's son (k3vin k.), Sunday, 3 April 2011 00:48 (fifteen years ago)
def not nba ready yet tho

perry jones from baylor will be a top 3 pick this year -- in other news his team didn't even make the ncaa tournament
― J0rdan S., Sunday, 3 April 2011 17:46 (fifteen years ago)
One nba player from a mediocre team is not a lol situation. If half a team thinks it is nba material, but they only played well enough to be seeded as the tenth best team in the country, then wtf. Either the players are delusional, or they're lazy as fuck, or they were coached by a moron, or some combination of the three.
― Aimless, Sunday, 3 April 2011 18:57 (fifteen years ago)
i don't know -- that's a pretty flat reading
― J0rdan S., Sunday, 3 April 2011 18:58 (fifteen years ago)
How do you explain it?
― Aimless, Sunday, 3 April 2011 19:00 (fifteen years ago)
i mean, for one, any nba team drafting a 19 year old is drafting the player on potential, so whether or not the team was seeded fourth or not is kind of irrelevant
secondly, when you have a team that is mainly freshmen, there is gonna be some growing pains i.e. they lose games they shouldn't and thus their seed suffers
thirdly, saying concretely that kentucky was a "4 seed" implicitly assumes that the selection committee was correct in all of their decisions, which is never true & actually this particular committee was v bad -- kentucky was prob underseeded by a line
fourthly, they made the freakin final four -- it's not like they got upset by morehead state
