i'm always a fan of missing the second shot in that situation because getting a rebound, going up the floor and getting a good shot off w/ anything less than like 7 or 8 seconds left is damn near impossible

The multiple dead ball fouls just about killed me. The part where Zeke Jones got called for an offensive foul for running into a dude after getting tripped was awful. The fact that we couldn't hit free throws at the end there was really really upsetting. But UCLA survived, and advanced, and fuck everything else but that.

I will see Tom Izzo in HELL.

Yeah Josh Smith is tremendous when he is not in foul trouble (which to his credit he has been in very rarely during the second half of the year). There were multiple games where the other team just didn't have anybody who could take the ball away from him or get in his way or anything.

Neuheisel did just sign the brother of Reeves Nelson (the surly-lookin white dude with one million tattoos), also.

I picked St John's to make the Sweet 16 in one or two of my brackets largely out of a desire to see them play and lose to UCLA again. I got all hung up on Steve Lavin going to the Sweet 16 and no further all those years, and forgot about the time UCLA got 12-5'd by Detroit Mercy.

I am real excited about K-State vs Wisconsin, and the winner of that against Pitt.

wisconsin's offense is extremely efficient but the problem with having a bunch of 6' 10" white guys that bomb from 3 is that you end up being kinda terrible at defense esp in the interior which shouldn't be a prob vs k st but pitt should wreck them

yeah dude! only saw a bit but hell, they made it a game for a bit over a half. they can go home proud.

VCU look awesome, making Georgetown look really lumpen and slow.

Rick Jackson, basically a beast.

Georgetown has looked really lumpen and slow for the past month or so. I dunno what to make of VCU, they looked pretty cruddy in the USC game (but USC was cruddier), and then they looked good tonight, but Georgetown just collapsed on themselves, as is their custom. JT III is maybe not so comfortable in his own skin right now, there's only so far he can keep going on his dad and the 2007 tournament.

That Mazzola (?) dude from West Virginia was pretty great to watch...didnt see the end of the game but they were keeping Kentucky on their toes
