pop the s1ock (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 3 March 2011 03:46 (fifteen years ago)

damn, a man too honest to play basketball for byu. reminds me of a guy i met who got kicked out of rotc b/c he admitted to having smoked weed once.

circles, Thursday, 3 March 2011 04:38 (fifteen years ago)

pascal's swagger (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 6 March 2011 02:37 (fifteen years ago)

regardless of his weight, very few guys that height are as skilled & athletic as he is

pascal's swagger (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 6 March 2011 02:38 (fifteen years ago)

that matt bieber dude from ohio state has a pretty looking shot

Neu! romancer (dayo), Sunday, 6 March 2011 04:35 (fifteen years ago)

> i really like john henson

agreed. he also seems like a really nice, good kid.

post-larry-drew tar heels are quickly becoming my favorite tar heels team. i hope they all come back next year...

Ohio State's defense was S.I.C.K today. Crushing. It's hard not to have them going deep in the tournament, but they do have a short bench.

john. a resident of chicago., Monday, 7 March 2011 02:24 (fifteen years ago)

To say nothing of Diebler, who has, like, 40 three-pointers in the past two games or something.

john. a resident of chicago., Monday, 7 March 2011 02:25 (fifteen years ago)

Wisconsin flat out played like they gave up in the second half. every offensive shot contested, no defensive adjustments....

at one point I think every 3 pointer they hit was answered by one by Ohio State. also they took 0 FTs in the first half, and that wasn't by accident.

orville reddenflocka (San Te), Monday, 7 March 2011 02:43 (fifteen years ago)

Ohio State looks bloody dangerous

johnny crunch, Wednesday, 9 March 2011 19:27 (fifteen years ago)

embarrassing the way the refs handled the end of the johnnies surviving vs rutgers

johnny crunch, Wednesday, 9 March 2011 21:39 (fifteen years ago)

those refs cannot work the rest of this tourney

johnny crunch, Wednesday, 9 March 2011 21:39 (fifteen years ago)

amazingly awful

mookieproof, Wednesday, 9 March 2011 21:41 (fifteen years ago)

little humma boy (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 9 March 2011 21:41 (fifteen years ago)

tim higgins had the under

johnny crunch, Wednesday, 9 March 2011 22:18 (fifteen years ago)

holy shit. i mean there are judgment calls and then there's a guy walking out of bounds with the ball in his hands with time left.

circles, Thursday, 10 March 2011 02:33 (fifteen years ago)

yes

mookieproof, Thursday, 10 March 2011 02:36 (fifteen years ago)

yeah it's a pretty inexcusable fuckup - good on the rutgers coach to not bitch about it tho considering he was already walking to shake hands as this was all going on, not like he was paying attention either

kl0p's son (k3vin k.), Thursday, 10 March 2011 02:42 (fifteen years ago)

i only heard part of what he said but digger made a pt abt the refs or maybe refs in general cuz he didnt want to single anyone out being tired this time of the season & them being late on or missing calls & implying that played a factor here

i mean perhaps a 64 yr old dude ref'ing is not the best idea

johnny crunch, Thursday, 10 March 2011 02:49 (fifteen years ago)

the rutgers coach said he didnt know abt it until he watched it on his school's information directors iphone

johnny crunch, Thursday, 10 March 2011 02:50 (fifteen years ago)

yeah he was saying 5 games a week is too much, esp at this time of year. prob has a point, but then again these dudes aren't exactly getting paid either as far as i'm aware

kl0p's son (k3vin k.), Thursday, 10 March 2011 02:51 (fifteen years ago)

wait why arent they getting paid

johnny crunch, Thursday, 10 March 2011 02:53 (fifteen years ago)

i think they do fairly well iirc

johnny crunch, Thursday, 10 March 2011 02:53 (fifteen years ago)

paid particularly well, i meant

idk i feel like most of these dudes have summer jobs probably, doubt college reffing is paying the big bucks

xp could be wrong

idk i feel like most of these dudes have summer jobs probably, doubt college reffing is paying the big bucks

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/columns/story?columnist=oneil_dana&id=4920019

actually most of them have full-time non-basketball jobs and do this on the side, but get paid pretty well for it:

Each official is an independent contractor, hired by various leagues to work games. Top-tier officials are well-compensated -- based on ability, they're paid anywhere from $700 to $1000 per game, plus travel and expenses. But for Higgins and many others, college officiating isn't a full-time gig.
