The shoving off at the start of that move probably had something to do with Parker being off balance when the move came. Not saying CP did sumpin' wrong, just that the move alone wasn't to credit for Parker's falling down.

my son defends giddey on this one, says he rolled his ankle but i mean, why did he roll his ankle cmon, that's literally what this is, getting your ankles broken smh kids these days

he does have a point giddey was injured on the play which is why his fall looked so weird but also he was cooked regardless

the worst is when a guy slips and people react like he got fried thats just not understanding what its all about, the purest form of breaking ankles is when the defender doesnt move at all and then just falls over, theyre trying to move in two directions at once, which is impossible, brain short circuits

to be clear making a guy slip can still be good its just not top shelf

i had to watch the giddey clip 4-5 times before i realized what happened to him, it looked like he got shot. but that quick ankle roll will do that

the purest form is making another player injure themselves this is a 10/10 kross up

i give it an 8 based mostly on how funny the way he flies out of the frame is

this one crosses a threshold for me in terms of there being no contact between the dribbler and defender so you know there was no clandestine pushing to the ground. it wasn't a great crossover objectively but you rarely see an NBA player go down like that and i love the reaction from the bench, they appropriately act like it's something you don't see every day

this weekend also had jaime jaquez jr dropping sion james of the hornets, this one is perhaps even less impressive from a pure crossover perspective but the quick change of direction really got him and jaime goes super hard to the rim
