Daft little indie set in Yorkshire, less than three hours long, finished it yesterday and it’s easily my GOTY, was uncontrollably cry-laughing by the time I got to the finale which I don’t think I’ve ever had from a game before? Definitely not from anything single player.

I got it on release date and got to the 2nd instance where your Stewie Griffin-Bob Mortimer hybrid avatar stands on the chest of a Scottish plumber and suddenly becomes inexplicably tiny, haven't played since

Bought today... Only had a few minutes with it....

Cant workout if it's a little often or lots at once game to get the full effect...depends how convoluted the solutions are so can I pick it up easily after a break?

...christ I forgot how godawful I am at adventure/puzzle games. This is Day of the Tentacle all over again. I keep getting stuck in areas I cant see a way out of.

OK that didnt end up taking too long to finish - that was fun and hilarious. The weird meat hallucination was... something.

Yeah it’s not always clear what to do next but the answer is always “hit everything and it’ll either do something funny or it’ll lead you to the next area”.

Devs have talked about how originally they had a lot more traditional puzzle solving but they came to realise that all just got in the way of the comedy, so over time they stripped it all out to the point where it almost stopped being a game and turned into a superficially interactive sketch show.

Despite all the ways it’s full on surreal, it also manages to be a super realistic depiction of the sort of town/community I grew up in, rare and lovely to see all of that portrayed affectionately and accurately. Fine line between “the north of England is bizarre and hilarious” and “lol look at the thick funny northerners”, most depictions are the latter, this is 100% the former.

Just started playing and OH MY GOD this is the funniest game ever
