Hi guys! I know next to nothing about games and the machinery on which they are played.
After spending like $500 on a new Nintendo Switch and a bunch of games for my daughter to help her occupy herself during the quarantine, she has decided that what she realllly wants to play is SIMS 4, which is not available on Nintendo*. It looks like it is available on Steam, which means we could get it for her laptop, but what she really wants to do is play the "Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack" which is not available on Steam.
So I went to the EA website, and they have the expansion pack there, but when I look at the options to buy, it says you can buy it for XBox One, PS4, and "Origin PC". And that's where I'm totally confused. Does that mean I can buy it for my daughter's regular old Windows PC, which is not made by the Origin PC company? Or do I have to have some special bullshit from that specific company?
I figured I'd ask you guys before trying to get an answer through the EA forums.
*and I hope the guy who made that decision falls into a woodchipper.
