there is a clue for that
― ledge, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 16:13 (sixteen years ago)
still haven't opened safe or moved chair tho :/
― ledge, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 16:14 (sixteen years ago)
So there is, in hindsight. The same clue helps with the safe.
nope, can't figure that out! also just worked out the batteries but still need another one ;_;
― ledge, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 16:22 (sixteen years ago)
You need that battery for the safe.
Where have you found batteries?
ehrm behind the briefcase and on the skirting board near the chair, i think
― ledge, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 16:26 (sixteen years ago)
Do you have a screwdriver at all?
yeah...
― ledge, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 16:27 (sixteen years ago)
Where's the most dangerous place you could play with a screwdriver?
my pants?
i've tried that already. mebbe it's the wrong screwdriver.
― ledge, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 16:30 (sixteen years ago)
closer...
― ledge, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 16:35 (sixteen years ago)
There's a screwdriver and a can opener, 'member...

Huh? Click at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock approximately.
and the numbers = numbers on the dial? i tried that. or clicks? bah.
― ledge, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 16:43 (sixteen years ago)
I'm sorry ledge
― cozwn, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 16:43 (sixteen years ago)

ok left means click on the left side, which turns the dial to the right.
hulk smash.
― ledge, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 16:45 (sixteen years ago)
games are fun
― ledge, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 16:46 (sixteen years ago)
Ledge, have you never used that kind of lock?
where's the clue to press down for the right panel?
― Great Scott! It's Molecular Man. (Ste), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 17:22 (sixteen years ago)
and how do i work out the missing part of the safe code?
― Great Scott! It's Molecular Man. (Ste), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 17:25 (sixteen years ago)
no. maybe i'm confused. it's been a long day. xxp
― ledge, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 17:27 (sixteen years ago)
Amongst the various pieces of paper, Ste: There's a cryptic one that tells you how to approach the safe's dial and it also shows someone pressing down a button. There's another that has XX=??
xpost

h8 room escape
― thomp, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 17:53 (sixteen years ago)
Fuck that radio thing - when you have to go through every single combination to get something to work, it's no longer a puzzle, it's a chore.
― grocery groin (snoball), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 18:29 (sixteen years ago)
How does it work, snoball?
cannot find the magnet still?
― "I'm smiling. Because that's what i do. I'm always smiling." (forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 19:27 (sixteen years ago)
cor I just played that La-Mulana for the first time, gorgeous.
― Great Scott! It's Molecular Man. (Ste), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 20:19 (sixteen years ago)
I'm stuck. I have two batteries in the doohickey, and a big black thing with a tube inside of it that doesn't seem to do anything. Chair is still bolted in place. No idea how to open any of the various safes or lockboxes despite trying a lot of different theories.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 20:40 (sixteen years ago)
Now I am stuck further along!
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 22:28 (sixteen years ago)
snoball, you need sound on for that to be less chorish.
i for one am completely stuck on wtf that black tubey thing mentinoed above is supposed to even be
― The controls are janky (Will M.), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 22:50 (sixteen years ago)
Black tubey? It doesn't have a cork does it?
Nope. It's a black thing with a tube inside of it. No idea if it relates to the uncorked tube or not.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 23:04 (sixteen years ago)
when you have to go through every single combination to get something to work, it's no longer a puzzle, it's a chore.
meh, gameplay-wise these things are always pretty much trial and error, even if there's a post-hoc explanation. why did i have to use the knife to cut away the plug socket? pretty sure the screwdriver would have done the job.
now stuck with the magnet (or lack of).
― ledge, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 23:06 (sixteen years ago)
I dunno. I've found most of the solutions in this one pretty sensible so far.
There was one a while back where you had to go outside and look at roman numerals on a windmill that I *never* would've finished without a walkthrough.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 23:08 (sixteen years ago)
finding that section of the floorboard was a little hit and miss, and then what you had to do with it didn't make a whole load of sense.
is the box with a tube in some sort of uv light?
anyway i gave up, the panel locks were doing my head in.
― Great Scott! It's Molecular Man. (Ste), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 23:12 (sixteen years ago)
uv ligt is what i thought, but pretty sure i;ve shone it on everything so far.
― ledge, Tuesday, 11 August 2009 23:14 (sixteen years ago)
i don't know how to use the lock but i have the code
― ❊❁❄❆❇❃✴❈plaxico❈✴❃❇❆❄❁❊ (I know, right?), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 23:18 (sixteen years ago)

― ❊❁❄❆❇❃✴❈plaxico❈✴❃❇❆❄❁❊ (I know, right?), Tuesday, 11 August 2009 23:25 (sixteen years ago)
I found a walkthrough for this, was sad to find I was actually almost done. Willing to give hints. Does ILX have any sort of spoiler tags?
