thats plenty of time to do a new map they just wanted to make a direct sequel this time i guess

plus i expect it to be meaningfully different like you'll go to some of the same places topographically but they wont be copy+paste

I don't particularly enjoy most of the games I've played on Switch, but maybe Metroid looks good? For all intents and purposes I've never played a Metroid game, but I loved Hollow Knight so maybe this will be my jam?

hollow knight is more castlevania than metroid

metroid dread existing after all this time and looking that good is completely ridiculous i'm so excited

it owns that they dug it out of the vault rather than starting from complete scratch

i'm not usually a fan of 'being stalked by monster' segments in games but building an entire game around it probably makes it work. love how fast and smooth the movement looks compared to other metroids.
