He has beyond photographic memory, he said something like "I remember everything that's ever happened to me and I hate it"

glad to hear the 'season 2' reviews are going to be shorter, i still much prefer his old 20-40 min kotaku videos to the new 3 hour format. 20 mins is still a lot of content!

any time the development team size is mentioned (“cyberpunk’s development team was 1/4th the size of rockstar games’ for red redemption 2’s development team”) it absolutely boggles my mind that they were planning on hitting all platforms on launch

So the first hour is truly just the intro, huh

the bad ending turned into the true ending, now i have permission to watch the whole thing

Apparently in part 5 he says the 'pick 2 parts' thing was just to quell people complaining about length lol

anyway i watched 1-6-7-5 bc i was feeling naughty i was like "the short one, as a treat"

Half ass watched intro-1-6-end and really enjoyed it. I think doing other stuff was kinda the way to go here, it's not super deep and pausing every couple of minutes to read too much text on the screen often kinda kills the flow of these videos for me (am I meant to do that on a supposed second play or something?). and giving my undivided attention to the hour on jackets and watches would've kinda pissed me off. This way, it was just funny.

Of course I will watch the other segments sometime. The only-watch-two thing was just dumb enough for me to indulge. What rationale did he even try to give? Uh, there's a lot of repetition and stuff? lol. I guess he's interested to see which bits rack up the most hits.

I don't think I could like anything more than his Tokimeki Memorial episode.

Part 3 is great

lol what's the opposite of a speed run? Because that's what this is so far.

Anyway, there's a meta perfection to his approach, because as far as I'm concerned youtube is where I go to watch and/or enjoy alternate endings to or plot branching in games I'm too lazy or exhausted to play more than once to get every ending (that is to say, all of them so far), let alone 100% or "platinum." So of course I will eventually make my way through all/much/most of this.

Weird he seemingly couldn't stop from playing so cheaply. I intentionally didn't bother learning much about how to best level up, do "quickhacks", and all that, and combat stayed reasonably challenging. But of course I can't say that's "playing it right", either.

Also he played a lot when the game was still super broken. The rogue taxis stuff was one of my favourite bits of the game and was mostly busted for Tim.

The game itself is barely the point at all of course. If you are thinking about playing it before watching the video, I'd say don't bother!

Part 3 literally spoils every ending in the game so if that matters don't watch it.

I like the "good time hat" idea, that's pretty much how I try to play. I just play so slowly that luckily I wasn't very far before a lot was fixed.

Somehow of all his claims I find the idea of how many videogames he plays to completion to be the hardest to believe. 4 or 5 versions of Shadowrun? A dozen rodent based 16 bit games? To the end? Really?

belief isn't important to me when watching a tim rogers review, i believe it like i believe bret hart is really working someone's knee. whether it's an exaggeration, a lie or cold hard facts, i'm gonna accept it, because sometimes it's fun to be tricked
