I skipped MH World due to being burned out after MH4 and Generations, so am excited to explore all the QoL improvements and stuff to do in Rise. not sure how I feel about numbers popping up when you attack tho.

also have always been a dual blades player so want to try another weapon this time, suggestions welcome.

this game looks really nice for a switch game, best environment design i've seen on the platform since xenoblade 2 and it's probably a step up from that

i'm leaning toward dual blades but haven't tried everything yet

anyone else playing monster hunter rise? it's my first one, and the grind is ON

i started it up the other day and did the tutorial stuff but haven't had a chance to jump back in yet

i've tried dual blade, lightbow, and the hammer so far. each a pretty expected tradeoff from the other. looking forward to dabbling in some of the more complicated weapons before honing in on a few for the rest of the game.

i say the knowing all too well that i'm in the 10-15 hour honeymoon phase where i think i will play this forever. but i have to say, i appreciate the focus to the game. there is no real "story", i'm just gradually killing stronger monsters. this is what i want.

the switch pro has been rumored every year around this time since 2019 i'll believe it when i see it

if they ever do playable zelda i bet it'll be a surprise like it'll be the second half of the game and they won't show it before release

that should only happen for games with mandatory motion controls, dunno if that game is one such

so, the normal golf looks fine, but not much better than something like hot shots or whatever. but the SPEED GOLF looks AMAZING! plus there's an Adventure mode where you explore and level up your mii and do zany challenges like trying to hit the ball on top of a tall ledge.

i picked up the collection of saga because i wanted to see how much of final fantasy legend 1 was burnt into my lizard brain and turns out the answer is a shocking amount.

then i remembered smt3 nocturne remaster is out so i guess ill only be playing old rpg's for the foreseeable future
