Almost as if I saw the latest one yesterday and thought, oh shit, I missed his last two, which were right next to it and which I watched right after, lol.

But yes, I'm also Dunkey.

Josh in Chicago, Friday, 19 February 2021 14:25 (five years ago)

japanese people must really love those japanese rpgs

lag∞n, Friday, 19 February 2021 14:48 (five years ago)

They just call them "rpgs."

Josh in Chicago, Friday, 19 February 2021 14:51 (five years ago)

i think japanese people all like american games now and vice versa

ciderpress, Friday, 19 February 2021 14:52 (five years ago)

that was supposed to be some sort of comedy joke but it came out just sounding defensive

ciderpress, Friday, 19 February 2021 14:59 (five years ago)

i will probably play the square triangle octagon project tbrr

eisimpleir (crüt), Friday, 19 February 2021 15:00 (five years ago)

surely this time they will change the name...?

ciderpress, Friday, 19 February 2021 15:09 (five years ago)

Seems unlikely

Triangapath Traveler

Evan, Friday, 19 February 2021 15:25 (five years ago)

Looks enough like final fantasy tactics, possibly my fave game of all time, that I will likely buy it and perhaps not play it.

Mario 3D world has been enjoyable but not immersive fro me. I may be broken.

That's not really my scene (I'm 41) (forksclovetofu), Friday, 19 February 2021 16:35 (five years ago)

its not really supposed to be immersive like odyssey, its diorama style (except mauybe the new bowsers fury thing)

ciderpress, Friday, 19 February 2021 16:42 (five years ago)

recommend going straight into bowsers fiery maw it rules

adam, Friday, 19 February 2021 16:55 (five years ago)

may do that

That's not really my scene (I'm 41) (forksclovetofu), Friday, 19 February 2021 16:57 (five years ago)

my favorite thing in 3D World has been to play as cat suit Peach in 1-1, run to the top of the ramp near the beginning, run and jump off of it, float and then cat-dive directly into the clear pipe, then run back and do it again. kind of an immersive experience in the sense that it makes me feel like a kid at a playground

eisimpleir (crüt), Friday, 19 February 2021 17:10 (five years ago)

bowsers fury is pretty cool kind of a mix between 3d world and odyssey, unusual thing to make, its a small mario game that has all the qualities of a big mario game, riding the dino is super sweet

lag∞n, Sunday, 21 February 2021 00:43 (five years ago)

JiC, Borderlands trilogy is half off once again

sell her Dior (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 21 February 2021 16:59 (five years ago)

yah! the second two are $13 on PS4 right now, but I might as well get all three for $25.

Josh in Chicago, Sunday, 21 February 2021 17:34 (five years ago)

three weeks pass...

i bought a much needed pro controller and i am living

eisimpleir (crüt), Monday, 15 March 2021 22:56 (five years ago)

my hands are filled with joy from being able to d-pad again

eisimpleir (crüt), Monday, 15 March 2021 22:58 (five years ago)

dammit, i need to buy a much needed pro controller too. shit's expensive though

Zach_TBD (Karl Malone), Monday, 15 March 2021 23:25 (five years ago)

Best battery life ever.

Josh in Chicago, Tuesday, 16 March 2021 00:11 (five years ago)

KM I urge you to consider the 8bitdo Sn30 Pro+ Controller it is incredible and maybe better than the Nintendo pro controller which I also have and love. And it is cheaper. Battery life has been great.

Evan, Tuesday, 16 March 2021 11:14 (five years ago)

might want to hold off on that as they just announced the 8BitDo Pro 2, adds two paddle buttons and 3 switchable profiles for the same price
https://www.engadget.com/8-bitdo-pro-2-controller-150048045.html?guccounter=1

( X '____' )/ (zappi), Tuesday, 16 March 2021 11:50 (five years ago)

does the 8bitdo have gyro aim? thats a major consideration if youre planning to play like splatoon or any other shooters. otherwise yeah i've heard good things

ciderpress, Tuesday, 16 March 2021 14:16 (five years ago)

the pro+ does, afaik the only downsides next to the pro is no scanner and no turning the console on remotely. the upside is analogue sticks that won't fall apart as fast, or hopefully never

chihuahuau, Tuesday, 16 March 2021 18:08 (five years ago)

are there tolerable third party joy-cons? mine drift and the thought of paying nintendo money to replace broken nintendo items is galling

(i know there's a replacement program i just haven't gotten my shit together to do it yet)

Kompakt Total Landscaping (Will M.), Thursday, 18 March 2021 21:01 (five years ago)

i'd say there are, but after a month my third party joy-con started to drift, grrrrrrrrrrr

Zach_TBD (Karl Malone), Thursday, 18 March 2021 21:47 (five years ago)

seriously, between that and my ps4 being louder than a 747, i've been doing 99% of my recent gaming on my coputer. fuck that driftin noise

Zach_TBD (Karl Malone), Thursday, 18 March 2021 21:48 (five years ago)

and yes, it's called my coputer, we are reversing mitosis

Zach_TBD (Karl Malone), Thursday, 18 March 2021 21:48 (five years ago)

the replacement program is pretty easy and painless, I sent each of my joy-cons in (months apart) and each time got it back from Nintendo in like 2 weeks, no charge

Piven After Midnight (The Yellow Kid), Thursday, 18 March 2021 22:21 (five years ago)

ugh i should just get it together and do it. our post office is a hell of a walk away so i've put it off for *checks watch* a year

Kompakt Total Landscaping (Will M.), Friday, 19 March 2021 19:09 (five years ago)

Townscaper coming this summer

people who like monster hunter really like monster hunter, i would not get too caught up by hyperbole like that url

ciderpress, Wednesday, 24 March 2021 01:16 (five years ago)

ugh i should just get it together and do it. our post office is a hell of a walk away so i've put it off for *checks watch* a year

Just so you know it's not USPS, it's a pre-paid UPS label

Piven After Midnight (The Yellow Kid), Wednesday, 24 March 2021 04:01 (five years ago)

Wondering if it's worth trying to get a Monster Hunter Rise Pro Controller, keep it sealed and see if it's worth anything in a year or two...

Nhex, Thursday, 25 March 2021 14:26 (five years ago)

vs buying gamestonks

G.A.G.S. (Gophers Against Getting Stuffed) (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 25 March 2021 17:28 (five years ago)

You see me dawg

Nhex, Thursday, 25 March 2021 17:37 (five years ago)

I skipped MH World due to being burned out after MH4 and Generations, so am excited to explore all the QoL improvements and stuff to do in Rise. not sure how I feel about numbers popping up when you attack tho.

( X '____' )/ (zappi), Friday, 26 March 2021 10:15 (five years ago)

also have always been a dual blades player so want to try another weapon this time, suggestions welcome.

( X '____' )/ (zappi), Friday, 26 March 2021 10:17 (five years ago)

decided to learn how to monhun

this game looks really nice for a switch game, best environment design i've seen on the platform since xenoblade 2 and it's probably a step up from that

i'm leaning toward dual blades but haven't tried everything yet

ciderpress, Sunday, 4 April 2021 13:45 (five years ago)

microsloth fig stimulator (Sufjan Grafton), Wednesday, 7 April 2021 01:48 (five years ago)

anyone else playing monster hunter rise? it's my first one, and the grind is ON

Zach_TBD (Karl Malone), Wednesday, 7 April 2021 02:27 (five years ago)

i started it up the other day and did the tutorial stuff but haven't had a chance to jump back in yet

ciderpress, Wednesday, 7 April 2021 02:35 (five years ago)

i've tried dual blade, lightbow, and the hammer so far. each a pretty expected tradeoff from the other. looking forward to dabbling in some of the more complicated weapons before honing in on a few for the rest of the game.

i say the knowing all too well that i'm in the 10-15 hour honeymoon phase where i think i will play this forever. but i have to say, i appreciate the focus to the game. there is no real "story", i'm just gradually killing stronger monsters. this is what i want.

Zach_TBD (Karl Malone), Wednesday, 7 April 2021 02:47 (five years ago)
