some friends of mine just got into this, which made me consider coming back. but my enthusiasm diminished again when i remembered how much i hate all the quests that want you to collect 90 tails of ratgays from the dickswamp of spermsorrows, especially when those rats only drop like 1 gaytail after killing 40 of them, which is even MORE impossible and stupid and boring and gay when trying to do it in a party and everyone else wants the gaytail or whatever pointless fetch quest item is inserted.

PLAY UPDATE: I've levelled my priest Grinz to 29. Priests seem to oscillate wildly between being really, really fun and really, really boring. I've also got my hunter up to 13 (wolf pet) and am remembering exactly how much I love the hunter class. My warrior is stalled out at 54; I just don't feel like playing him right now (ditto my warlock and paladin).

I deleted my hunter today. I still really love the class (and the changes made in 1.7 meant that me+my pet was always in the top 2 damage dealers in any raid), but I'd finished every quest in the game apart from the ones in the later instances. My guild's good, and I enjoy playing with them, but all that's left is PVP grinding, raid instance grinding, or rep grinding. Also I need to get a job :)

Okay, I have just discovered The Joy Of Farming (ie, taking your lvl 55 character into the Deadmines over and over and over again, alternating between selling off swag at the AH and shipping 'mats off to the enchanter toon). If it wasn't so hard to get to (and it wasn't camped all to be damned) I'd be farming the Scarlet Monestary, too.

HINT: If you are not a high level farming a lowbie instance, pick mining/skinning as your professions. Every animal you kill = $$$, plus every node you mine and smelt = $$$, PLUS (this is important) every abandoned, looted animal corpse you find = $$$$$.

You can switch to a crafting profession later on once you've actually got the cash to support it.

I basically stopped using addons that weren't Titan Panel plugins. The one that tells you what the lowest-selling item in your inventory is and lets you delete it with a shift-click is Super-awesome!

I am in the middle of downloading Titan Panel and CTMod. I hope my in game experience is a lot more fun. Perry is the guru of WoW.

I got dragged over to playing the horde because one of my friends bought the game and went all out horde. I have a level 26 orc hunter now and it's a brand new realm with only one level 60 player in the entire game. This game is eating my life away, that is probably a good thing though.

I logged onto my warrior on Friday just in time to see a gigantic exodus from the guild I'd joined! Apparently there was a gigantic amount of bitching and arguing going on in the website forum (which I never read) that led to the original founders of the guild deciding to disband the entire thing.

My coworker and I are considering jumping to a low population server and starting our own guild. I kind of don't want to do all of the attendant scheduling/websiting/foruming that people now associate with guilds, though.

Actually I need to interact with my new guild more, they seem to be much cooler than my old one.

Can you move characters between servers?

Sometimes they will open up character transfer from crowded servers to low population servers; recently they've blocked new character creation on my server for accounts who don't already have accounts there, so I'm guessing character transfer is only a few weeks away.

I wouldn't want to start over because a) I'd have no gold; b) I'd have to grind up through the 30s again and that SUCKED.
