so how do you get the super high turnip prices? totally random?? i've been checking twice a day locally and they're like 80 on the low end and 150 on the high end.

a quick google will tell you everything you need to know and give you a tool that will make you rich, if you want to do it. it's kind of weird because once you know it's there, it kind of ruins the whole thing.

i did it for one week to finance a quick house expansion, and didn't feel too much regret. but it would be kind of lame to exploit it every week

i don't think i'll have that problem since i'm apparently now funding house expansions for 2 other (much younger) players

My 13-year old daughter has afaict totally abandoned this, which is annoying, since I bought it for her and she was really into "City Folk" on the Wii. I should ask her what she liked about that one that she doesn't like about this one, but I think she finds a lot of the denizens she has to deal with in this iteration annoying, and I know she is irked that she can't interact with any of the shit she accumulates. So, awesome, she has a pool, but ... it just sits there. Which I think means all she can do is BS busywork to tidy up her island to attract people she doesn't want, which is not doing it for her. I guess I'd rather her snooze out of Animal Crossing and spend time outside then not go outside because she is too into Animal Crossing.

Has anyone else had a kind of groundhog day thing happen where the same villager is building the exact same thing and the hot items are identical two days in a row? It's only happened once, but kind of threw me.

Also my island is completely littered with DIY cards so f those, into the drop off box. I did get the stone lion-dog DIY from a balloon and squee'd out loud.

I have a million DIY cards scattered on the ground too. Leaving in case I ever have visitors...

New expansion in July - the swimming/diving returns! Will be lol in sth hem with snow all around, but hey!.

They’re adding ocean swimming on July 3rd. You can collect stuff underwater and there will be a new spot in the museum for those things.

I'm also annoyed that some random furniture seems to come in varying colorways that you cant alter with the custom paint, you just have to luck out and buy/find the one you want. So I have a mishmasg of grey, light and brown rattan furniture. and an ugly royal blue oriental coffee table when I'd kill for a dark brown/cherry coloured one.
