I managed to get my first few star fragments, the process is sort of awful because you need to look up and press A when you hear the quiet jingle that a shooting star makes, you really don't get much time to do it and YOU NEED EMPTY HANDS or else the "wishing on a star" thing doesn't trigger. Which means trying to listen out for these and react to them as you're going about your normal fishing/bug catching business isn't an option really, if you've got a rod or a net equipped when you hear that jingle, chances are you'll have missed it by the time you've put your tool away.

Feels instead like you need to make a point of aimlessly strolling around while you wait for these to trigger, which just isn't much fun.

yeah I had celeste in my town the other night, saw a few shooting stars drop but couldn't trigger the wish animation so just gave up. lame

wishing on shooting stars is easy. when you see one, press down on the d-pad to put your tool away, tilt the camera up to the sky, and wait for more shooting stars because whenever one goes by there will be several more coming soon after
