I didn't read the word "Switch" in that post and thought it was pretty funny

i had brutal drift that was making mine almost unplayable... ordered some electronic contact cleaner and after like 60 seconds of testing it seems good? can't wait to try it for more than a minute and see if it's actually good now

drift is killing me when trying to place items in AC

if nothing else, just doing the thing where you lift up the rubber pad on the analog stick (with tweezers or whatever) and putting some isopropyl alcohol on there will help immensely

update: drift is still there after a 2nd rd of contact cleaner, which i think is supposed to be like isopropyl on steroids, so fuck :(

i’ve only just realised i stopped playing luigi 3 solely because i bought the physical version and can never be bothered getting up to put in the game card, and over time it’s fallen off my home screen and i forgot i even had it

I need to get a memory card for mine, I've had to delete a couple of things so that I could install Animal Crossing. I know next to nothing about memory card specs etc so if anyone's got any suggestions or guidance I'd be eternally grateful

it's microSD, same as what most smartphones etc use for memory expansion. theres lots of counterfeit/dud microSD cards out there so only buy from a major brand/retailer like samsung or sandisk, don't try to save a few bucks with a weird one

i have a 128gb which is more than enough space to hold a bunch of indie & nintendo games, they're probably like 25 bucks these days

i picked up a 400 gb card on a recent sale, thank god

They are also speed rated so spend a couple more bucks to get a fast one.

baseball has such a specific and constrained game space that you can't really make baseball gameplay that appeals to someone who doesn't like baseball

i was more of a smb1 guy but 2 is also good

personally i don't think someone who doesn't like baseball would like super mega baseball, but that's just me. it does have some cartoony/arcade-like aspects, but it doesn't go so far to change the game as, say, NFL Blitz or NBA Jam did

The hitting mechanic is relatively simple but different from any other baseball game I've played. It's like when you find a really good fishing game in an RPG. I could see it having some non-baseball appeal based on the fun of the basic mechanics.

i love baseball but i have yet to love a baseball video game. SMB2 is pretty good. i'm not crazy about the art style and i haven't found the right difficulty level to make it challenging but fun yet, but the gameplay is solid.

I don't give a shit about baseball but really liked that weird 3DS game with the dog that sells you cartridges for your Nontendo 4DS, but you could haggle with him to make them cheaper? now that I write this out it sounds more like a fever dream. anyway there was one in particular that was a baseball umpire simulator that I got obsessed with.
