Picked up Rabbids on sale for 15 bucks. Thought I might not like it at all, but I'm currently really enjoying it. Definitely worth the $15.

Dating a new girl who introduced me to Unravel Two, which was great fun. We just reached all the bonus levels. Platforming feels good and clean, though there are moments of jank. Play provided a ton of laughs, and skill gaps between players are remedied with the ability to pull each other up to platforms if one person succeeds and the other gets tired of trying. We tried some of the hardest bonus levels and couldn't get near solving them. I think we'll continue to put time into them.

rabbids shouldn't be as good as it is but it's very solid.

the DK bit is also great

Rabbids is underrated, would love a Splatoon themed version of it

i played about 5 hours into rabbids, but was started to get a little bored, like that i was still on the tutorial, almost. and the power-ups / skill progression seemed really railroaded.

i'm not looking for it to be a super advanced tactics sim or anything, but does it ever open up a bit or get more complex?

It does eventually at least start requiring making right decisions rather than wrong ones to win missions.

they put bastion and transistor on already a while ago which is why ive been holding out on playing pyre elsewhere but theres no sign of it

i think the majority of indie games are made with switch in mind now anyway, the stuff you posted about are just very PC-ey genres that need a second UI/controls pass to work on consoles which indie studios can't always afford to do until they have some revenue from the pc version

frostpunk did get a ps4 release and i think disco elysium is slated for the same. i wonder how much work it is to port them to switch after ps4 assuming the UI/controls stuff is probably mostly worked out. graphics stuff i'd guess?

porting to a lower spec platform involves a lot of QA work i'd think

For Switch you'd have to be concerned about performance on portable vs. docked as well, text sizes.

Hoping these are, as one source I've read suggested, a collection rather than separate releases.

I'd happily pay £50 or whatever for a cartridge that had Mario 64, Galaxy & Sunshine on but would balk at having to pay that for each individual one

feel like Nintendo hasn't been that generous since the GameCube days (I treasure my Legend of Zelda collection disc like Gollum)

Pinning my hopes on this:

For the remasters, our source is telling us that Nintendo is pursuing something like a Super Mario All-Stars 2 for the 3D Mario games. This would include Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and then Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. It’s likely that 3D World may get its own, separate Deluxe-style release. While it’s possible the older 3D Mario games could come in a single compilation, it’s also likely that Nintendo will release them individually as it did with its Zelda remasters.

I skipped the Wii/U gens entirely so I definitely want those Galaxy remasters. Also re-port Twilight Princess plz
