5* Storm and 5* Iceman are beasts, even underleveled. In particular, required 5* Storm on the Royal Family node made my Thorkoye combo extremely happy.

Oh also my kingdom for Sabertooth covers, he is the anti-Gritty

I haven't drawn one of the new 5* for a long time now, I'm just drawing classics. I played the season sim to 2000 just for laffs the other day, I had to skip a lot of gritty but I got it.

IMO Storm and Iceman are both worth it

1 blue Dr Strange
1 blue Banner
1 blue Prof X

plus 1 purple Medusa and 1 blue (!) Shuri

post after post after post of high-end or high-end wannabe players demanding that the game give them free rewards with little-to-no time investment/effort/money

D3Go just announced that they are removing bonus heroes and replacing them with a shard system that lets you target specific powers on a character and people are having shit-fits because... they aren't getting hundreds of free levels on 5* characters, as far as I can tell

There is also sentiment that collecting shards on a character will be wasted if you RNG into enough covers to champ them, even though shards also count towards champion levels, because no one in this slice of the player base wants to feed champion levels to any of their characters...?

5* Hawkeye and 4* Cap (Worthy) is a pretty crazy team. There's a few in PVP but most people are still running Gritty.

I worry that I'll put all my 5* shards into one character and then that character will get nerfed before I can use them.

It's better than the old system, in any case.

Don't sell any max champion characters in the next week. They're changing the rewards and giving out some retroactive rewards for rostered characters.

I got 6 5* covers from the retroactive awards, plus a leg token that gave me another 5*. Nothing on characters that I can use yet (all in the 1-8 cover range), but nice nonetheless.

I have to admit I miss the thrill of getting an entire card I wanted instead of just .03 of one.

I got something like 6-7 extra 5* covers and… I champed Wasp. God help me, I champed 5* Wasp.

I got 10 5* covers. I champed Iceman. Now my Cable is pretty close too. A good haul!

I got really lucky with Okoye; she's way higher level than any of my other champs (463)

Basically, I just chase yellow and teamups and let .5 Thor smash the other teams into little bits

JJ and Strange are great, the former on defense, the latter for PVE.

But Kitty, mmm... I can reliably beat her now with Strange+Bishop in PVP, but Bishop always dies, so it eats up health packs.

This bonus load was from the weird way they handled 4* retroactive awards the first time around. Only 5* I got was Iceman, now at 4 covers.

I still only have Phoenix as a 5* champion. Dr. Strange is at 11 covers, and I suspect I'll get him to 13 in a few months.

The forum meltdown over the initial reward payout was spectacular

So what ARE you supposed to do against 4* Carol in PVP, anyway?

Stun her. G4mora and 4Iceman are the best options but anyone who can stun and/or go invisible is good against her. (Vulture is also an option since he can remove countdowns with his blue.)

Just did my first month of VIP. Was totally worth it. Tempted to keep going, but part of me is still like "fuck this microtransaction psychological trap bullshiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit"

VIP is good value... and it helps your friends hint hint lol

with all these Okoye offers lately I just champed her! after however many years, yay.

12 champed 5* now, guess I'll collect shards for Cable now who is at 5-4-3. maybe I should just for Kitty Pride but she's kinda boring to play since you need to run her with 4rocket to make her great and I don't like always being so locked down.

Run her with OML instead; in PvE, you get two shields that limit initial damage, then firing her red puts two strikes on the board that enables her buff mechanic and makes you virtually untouchable while dropping massive hits within 2-3 turns, plus any power that damages you throws 3 attacks on the board that accelerates the carnage. An undercovered but color-complete Beta Ray Bill makes the whole thing ludicrously funny because he drops a countdown that adds even more protects off his blue that keeps the buff train going AND every time you match a protect, you get blue and green to refire the protect countdown and to trigger his 3-hit nuke, now bolstered by all of OML's free red strikes.
