tbf i get 500 emails a week from Enterprise even though i only rented a car from them once and i've unsubscribed to their list several dozen times. so some of those emails might as well be about potential Switch deals

i did try moonlighter. i played for about...5-6 hours. it's a great idea for a game, switching between dungeon crawling and selling loot at the shop, and i'd love to see the next version of it. or another take on it from a different studio. unfortunately i thought the mechanics of both sides of the game were pretty shallow. admittedly i got a little addicted to it when i first played it, because the structure of the game lends itself to a "one more day!" kind of thing. but after i took a break from it for a few days i had no desire to go back again.

it looked like a kinda bland recettear clone so i didn't try it

Kids have a console each. Will it cause problems if I link both consoles to my Nintendo account? Or is it best to set them both up with their own account?

Your account can download games to “secondary” consoles but there’s some arcane set of rules that will occasionally check in and prevent anyone from playing download games from the same account on more than one console at a time. If you want kiddos to have cloud save backups you should get the online family plan and give them each their own online account to attach to their profile. This is probably all better spelled out in an faq somewhere

my household got one of these yesterday. i'm a 42-year-old dad trying to figure out how to beat Boss Harriet in Mario Odyssey with my 6-year-old now.

Kids (10 and 13) got a switch for xmas, they have Mario Odyssey and we downloaded hollow knight, what else is cheap and good that young boys will like pls dont say BOTW I'll just end up playing it again lol

GRIS is really good, folks. It is superbly paced, controls great, and is really breathtakingly beautiful. Some people will argue that its focus on aesthetics over mechanics makes it a bad game, or *not* a game (I once had a dude tell me that Undertale was "not a game"). Those people are wrong.

i dont see how you could argue that one's not a game, it's pretty thoroughly a platformer, just not a hard one

Was just playing that on new years eve! Super fun; frustrating controls and camera but it's so goofy it doesn't matter really especially when playing with friends.

I don't think they did anything special with it though it's just a port afaik
