A PS4 Thread: Because You Had to Play "Knack"

Bloodborne Complete Edition is $12 right now. But, as someone who never got into Witcher and isn't interested in exploring open worlds, would I enjoy this game?

It isn't really open world. More action than RPG.

i have never played it, but i always kind of imagined it as dark souls with guns?

the guns are sort of a red herring tbh, they're a combo piece, more shield parry than damage dealing. it's weird. the game is Great tho.

and yeah witcher/open world don't have any bearing

If you like pure narrative titles and walking simulators (I do) And you can stomach some slightly twee magic realism (I can’t) then yep it’s worth a play.

I doubt I'm getting Spidey (webslinging "feels good man" doesn't have much appeal to me).

I'm not sure about the pure narrative/walking simulator part, but maybe I just haven't found the right one? I'm all for twee magical realism though.

The combat is pretty fun. It's basically just batman but it's a good batman game.

pretty much. still, there's a real love and attention to geeky detail that puts it over the top IMO

TLOU Remastered is $10 in the PS store right now. I'm almost tempted to get it just to have it on PS4.

it's a classic. i got the PS4 disc version on sale for the same reason

probably a good thing to replay around the time the sequel comes out, though I don't remember how long a full playthrough is. 15-20 hours?

Spider-Man reminded me how much I love the arkham games, and i remembered that I'd never played the Season Pass content from Arkham Knight, so I've spent the last week doing the combat challenges and DLC missions. In fairness to WB they did give a lot for that pass, even if a lot of it's small DLC missions, alt-costumes or tons of tank/racing/predator challenges I'm not gonna touch

Hollow Knight out today, I'm excited.

I tried to sell two games to Gamestop, and they offered $6 (PFFFFT). Is ebay/Amazon the better bet nowadays?

yeah old non Nintendo games sell for like 10-20 bucks new these days which puts a pretty low ceiling on trade ins

Dragonball FighterZ is a great game which I picked up at release.

Getting God of War and, if it goes on sale, Spider-man, assuming that my family, as usual, hasn't picked up on any of my gifting hints.

I plotzed over a few hours into Horizon Zero Dawn in the other thread, but getting a decent way through the game, there are a LOT of rough patches (just starting with the facial animations and the uneven game mechanics, the ) -- like, how is this one of the PS4's best selling games ever?

And yet, the main story line has grabbed me! (Which I know goes against the general ILG ethos, but IMAMAVERICK.)

Yep UK is still relatively balanced but there are plenty of EU regions where the combined market share of Microsoft and Nintendo is still sub 10%.

Yeah I played a bit last night. Mizughuchi would 100% be my favourite developer if only his taste in music was a bit less cringey.

But yeah it's already my favourite Tetris ever. And I've only played in 2d so far, haven't got round to plugging the pace in yet.

Looks cool, but also looks like something I'd prefer on the Switch. Can't imagine playing Tetris on my TV.

Nier Automata is $20 online for Best Buy's Black Friday, so I'll be getting that despite my demo experience. I assume the sale price will only be in effect around BF time?
