I think Nhex may have chosen one of the more awkward possible ways to convey the sentiment that “it is not surprising that women are not intimidated by competing or playing with men, considering how competitive women can be with each other”

This is also weird because isnt one of the sexist-git arguments about how many women gamers there are, is "no they just play mobile games, and those dont count!".

One quibble with that finding: I'm not sure that this statement is well-phrased:

"I would spend more time playing mobile games if I knew I was playing with or against players of my own gender"

It's ambiguous between "only players of my own gender" and "at least some players of my own gender". It's not clear that the 25%/47% are all saying that they would prefer to play exclusively with men.

i dont see how it is courageous to defend Star Wars, Rick and Morty, and "videogames", all massively popular media properties that your employer covers daily. it's kind of getting old. how many stories do we need on the tiny minority of MRA people. do we really need to hear their input on every topic? what is gained from scapegoating them in lieu of actually looking at the content of these properties and why these types of people may be drawn to it in the first place?

these are giant global brands consumed by millions of people, no doubt there are always going to be some lunatics among them. it is annoying to constantly be hearing about the most extreme horrible fans, as if it nullifies anything else wrong with these movies or tv shows.

this is just giving them a platform. if someone is trolling a celebrity for lolz then having a website write them up is only going to make them want to do it more.
