I assumed it was a Terraria type game but apparently it's more like a metroidvania

the first steamworld dig was a real pleasant surprise, might give the sequel a shot

i've only played about 45 minutes or golf story but it's a lot of fun so far - v charming

what am i missing about golf story? i can't find it on amazon or on the gamespot website. am i spelling something wrong or

Oh my god, there's gonna be a Steamworld Dig sequel! I love the first one so much, it might be one of my favorite platformers ever! I've been wishing for a sequel since the second I finished the first one (only flaw was that it seemed too short, imo)

Such an awesome feeling of progression as you gain additional powerups in that game. By the end you are effortlessly bouncing around the mines, practically flying

ordered mine! and zelda and a screen protector. did not get splatoon for some reason.

Splat2n is def not for everyone unlike Zelda/mario but it's a pretty much perfect realization of its concept

As soon as I saw they were in stock on Amazon I loaded all the answers on this thread and ctrl-F’d for the answers to my accessories question. I didn’t get an SD card though because we have those just lying all around the house

I'm going to follow all the important internet wisdom of applying it in a steamy room and then letting it cure for 24 hours

golf story is good but not super polished, you can kinda tell its from a first-time studio

i think my biggest complaint with it is the actual golf, the courses are all gimmicky and 9-hole so far. the mario golf games had some realistic, well designed 18-hole courses in addition to the gimmicky ones whereas this game seems to be entirely the latter.

we just got one of this, like literally 5 minutes ago. haven't bought a new system in an AGE. stoked.

Stardew Valley out on Thursday.

Haven't played a life sim since Animal Crossing on GameCube I think and that didn't get nearly as much love from me as Harvest Moon 64 did so I'm excited for Thursday

Finished Golf Story just in time for Stardew Valley. Lots of good jokes and a decent if somewhat easy golf game. The camera pullback to show the entire map at the end was a great moment and made me laugh.

bought Stardew Valley on my laptop 7 months ago, played an hour, never played it again because laptops are heavy and hot and run windows 10.
got it on Switch, can pull it out of my work draw and play 10 minutes whenever. gonna play a shit ton.

been holding off on playing axiom verge until the switch version came out, sunk a couple of hours into it over the weekend. it's real good! love a metroidvania

stardew is surprisingly great, been fun.

Bootstrapping my farm is a lot of work, worried that that first chicken coop or fruit tree sapling will be perpetually out of reach

after playing through about 5-6 seasons on the PS4 version, i got a lot little burned out playing by myself. but i've been patiently waiting for the multiplayer patch, which seems to be on the way:

i played axiom verge on PS4 and can confirm that it scratches the metroid itch, if that's what you're looking for.

lovers in a dangerous spacetime is v cute but somewhat shallow game that is definitely intended primarily for 2 players
