lots of old skool sega coming to xbla: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=214705
― pen(istentiary) (stevie), Monday, 11 May 2009 16:45 (seventeen years ago)
mentioned this over on the what's hot thread. what are some other games tht have been out for a while and weren't reviewed stellarly but are worth the £10-12 they now cost? examples of stuff I've already bought in this vein are battlefield bad co. and kane & lynch
is call of juarez worth a punt? what else? I might pick up assassin's creed too
― zinguist (cozwn), Wednesday, 20 May 2009 22:42 (seventeen years ago)
viva pinata?
― im drunk so no forks (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 20 May 2009 22:52 (seventeen years ago)
hated the call of juarez demo
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Wednesday, 20 May 2009 23:17 (seventeen years ago)
wait, is kane & lynch actually good? demo did not fill me with confidence.

of course everyone else in the world seems to be loving the UFC game, and as i have mentioned way too many times, i thought the demo for that was poo city.

Mirror's Edge is a tenner now, at least in our stores. I'll probably pick that up this week.
― JimD, Wednesday, 20 May 2009 23:45 (seventeen years ago)
I really liked that, £10 seems about right for how short it is.
― languid samuel l. jackson (jim), Wednesday, 20 May 2009 23:46 (seventeen years ago)
kane & lynch is a fun enough knockabout, clunky controls and a dodgy framerate. not worth £40 but I picked it up for £7 and it ws perfect value for money
― zinguist (cozwn), Thursday, 21 May 2009 06:42 (seventeen years ago)
ws gun good?
― zinguist (cozwn), Thursday, 21 May 2009 06:43 (seventeen years ago)
played gun on str8 xbox and really enjoyed it, assuming 360 version is exactly the same, but same not bad is prob a decent enough endorsement.

I'm trying to put all my video files on a mini drive and attach that to my 360 and it doesn't seem to be working. It's a 250gig Maxtor one touch; anybody with more tech sense than me know how I can just set up an additional drive beside the 360 to house all my video files?
― im drunk so no forks (forksclovetofu), Saturday, 23 May 2009 19:28 (seventeen years ago)
What's not working? Is the 360 not recognizing the drive, or not recognizing the video files?
― Mordy, Saturday, 23 May 2009 19:30 (seventeen years ago)
It's not recognizing the drive. Won't even come up as a portable device.I've tried a 250 gig and a 1.5 tb. Is there a limit on how much it can recognize?
― im drunk so no forks (forksclovetofu), Saturday, 23 May 2009 19:48 (seventeen years ago)
Works fine with an 8gig flash drive for instance
― im drunk so no forks (forksclovetofu), Saturday, 23 May 2009 19:56 (seventeen years ago)
Do you use a Mac?
― Mordy, Sunday, 24 May 2009 00:01 (seventeen years ago)
(Could be a formatting issue.)
nope, PC. Can anybody who has a working drive attached to the portable drive usb slot on the front of their 360 tell me what the make is?
― im drunk so no forks (forksclovetofu), Sunday, 24 May 2009 08:07 (seventeen years ago)
My nephew has a Western Digital that I gave him that I know for a fact works. I think I gave it to him formatted FAT32 because I was using it on a old linux/XP dual booting machine.
― svend, Monday, 25 May 2009 03:20 (seventeen years ago)
My WD 250g drive is picked up fine by mine, I think it failed first time, but after that - no problems.
― problem chimp (Porkpie), Monday, 25 May 2009 10:33 (seventeen years ago)
Sky online tv service coming to Xbox! probably cost far too much money, but a nice idea.
― zappi, Thursday, 28 May 2009 15:56 (seventeen years ago)
what if you already have a sky subscription?
― problem chimp (Porkpie), Friday, 29 May 2009 06:27 (seventeen years ago)
I expect it'll work the way it already works on PCs - if you've already got sky then the stuff you'd have access to anyway is free. If you don't, subscriptions are minimum £7.50 a month.
― JimD, Friday, 29 May 2009 09:26 (seventeen years ago)
Hold on - that was a pre-January price, it's actually £15 a month minimum.
So yeah, too much.
― JimD, Friday, 29 May 2009 09:32 (seventeen years ago)
is there anything i should do before my free month of xbl gold expires? is it just for multiplayer, pretty much?
― Ømår Littel (Jordan), Tuesday, 2 June 2009 17:08 (seventeen years ago)
and demos, yes.
― hot boobs of lohna (forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 2 June 2009 20:19 (seventeen years ago)
you still get demos without, just not as quickly.
― zappi, Tuesday, 2 June 2009 20:24 (seventeen years ago)
I probably have a month free code lying around somewhere, if you'd like it jordan? I'll take a look and let you know
― cozwn, Tuesday, 2 June 2009 20:48 (seventeen years ago)

and netflix instant watching
― AMYL NATHRAKH (jjjusten), Wednesday, 3 June 2009 21:23 (seventeen years ago)
man i tried netflix on the xbox last night and the picture quality was basically unwatchable. i'm guessing it's because my dsl was slow via wireless router, or something? because when i watch on my computer it's just fine.
― Ømår Littel (Jordan), Thursday, 4 June 2009 18:33 (seventeen years ago)
Yeah, that's on your router or cable company. I watched The Orphanage a few nights ago in HD and I'm connected wirelessly.
― pending echeques (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 4 June 2009 18:40 (seventeen years ago)
I have my 360 connected to my wireless router via wire, and it works great.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Thursday, 4 June 2009 20:41 (seventeen years ago)
XBL is some dangerous shit. i mean i almost paid $10 to download Doom last night.
― Ømår Littel (Jordan), Monday, 8 June 2009 18:00 (seventeen years ago)
Might as well do it, come on.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Monday, 8 June 2009 21:23 (seventeen years ago)
am i the only ilg dude getting chumped by an obsession w/ playing 1 vs 100
― ecstatic i poisoned u with nachos t(:Dt) (jjjusten), Tuesday, 16 June 2009 03:31 (seventeen years ago)
I want to play it but it never seems to be on, or I miss it, or etc.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Tuesday, 16 June 2009 03:42 (seventeen years ago)
i played it a few times but yeah, i keep missing it due to not being awesome at remembering
― Aieritating vowele syndroume (Will M.), Tuesday, 16 June 2009 14:38 (seventeen years ago)
Doesn't exist here yet, I'm looking forward to it though.
Apparently XBL being down today also means Media Centre being down, as far as the 360 is concerned. Pretty irritating given that I've just set up a TV card for my media server and now I can't test it.
― JimD, Tuesday, 16 June 2009 18:02 (seventeen years ago)

― BLEAT THE MEATLES. PARADE. (jjjusten), Sunday, 21 June 2009 19:57 (seventeen years ago)
is it worth getting the F3: Anchorage package? i'm not all the way through the original yet so please no spoilers, but I can definitely see me wanting more of this when I am
― sonderangerbot, Sunday, 21 June 2009 21:43 (seventeen years ago)
ive heard that it is the least interesting of the 3, but i still downloaded it because of it being the gold deal of the week (which ends today?)
― BLEAT THE MEATLES. PARADE. (jjjusten), Sunday, 21 June 2009 21:49 (seventeen years ago)
It's fine, it's pretty interesting really. it's not fallouty at all, it's more like playing Goldeneye in the fallout engine, and that's fun in its own little way.
― JimD, Monday, 22 June 2009 20:06 (seventeen years ago)
on a one man mission to pound my way through clearance purchase of F.E.A.R. 2 so I can trade it in on prototype - assuming replay value is like nil, right?
