I actually find it kinda frustrating that the AI wastes those t-5s. And I really like Mockingbird too.

AI will only do match-5s if it's in a straight line. /relurks

mpq sometimes makes me think of my friend that wrote the OCR blackjack-playing program and set it loose on yahoo games in like... 2001. does the desktop one sync with the others?

I think I read that they explicitly programmed the game to avoid taking match-5s, to make it easier to play

champed my c@arol a couple days ago, she is fierce & hilarious with loki.

if all goes well i'm gonna champ r&g this week. i just need 2 blue covers & i'm sitting at #4 overall in the PVE (which if that holds will net me 1 of them) and the progression cover for the next PVE is the second blue. one of the 4*s i'm most excited to play w/.

I am glad that I gave in to the Mordo cards the game kept throwing at me and started leveling him right when they reworked him to make him better.

Also VERY glad I'd just champed Riri, who can now be hilariously OP when boosted

I'm champing ghost rider I guess lol, I have an extra cover and already had him near 200, a bit of a head start. also drew another electra, for the 100000x time it feels like, maybe this time I'll champ her (have had her cover maxed for ages)

I would champ riri but I have her at 5-5-2 plus bunches of wasted red and blue covers, ugh. had her at 5-4-0 for a long time, until the recent boss event.

yeah boosted riri is great. her red does fantastic dmg and her blue generates tons of red. i've been pairing her with gwenpool this week and dominating.

I champed gwenpool and she's great to play, esp with a list of her cheat codes nearby.

I just got my 13th CMarvel4 and champed her! But then I got my 13th... 4 venom (brock, not agent). So far I've champed every 4* i've had the opportunity to, but a) i've got a few at 12 covers that i might hit 13 on soon and i should maybe focus on them, and b) it's venom (i guess he got fixed/upgraded but is he any good now?). whatchu think, experts?

i think if u don't have any covers on the vine for him you can afford to wait. c4rol is amazing btw you'll def enjoy her.

i just hit 900 in deadpool PVP using a Riri, Gwenpool, Deadpool combo and it's just OP as hell. Riri's blues let u fire off her reds a lot (which do 11k x2 or 25k dmg), Gwenpool green does like 8k x3 + deadpool's purple. only color i was wasting was yellow. even black was useful since boosted gwenpool's black ability mitigates pretty much all damage coming your way.

just 34min cleared WW (holding at 2nd overall) w/ grocket / medusa / SL combo. my SL only has 7 covers and my grocket is one cover short but it still is a bananas dominate combo. the SL turns the grocket strikes into 500 each and then medusa does a gazillion damage per turn w/ her countdown.

I just tried a super underpowered version of that team in DDQ (255 1/1/0 SL 5*, 1/2/3 lvl 70 RG 4*, 3/3/3 lvl 134 Medusa) and rofflestomped the node after the required 3* node. Gonna see how they fare on the lower level WW nodes.

i was one-hitting the early nodes - i mean literally finished a bunch of them with one or two moves

That's why I run 375 3/4/2 SS, 345 4/2/0 OML, 345 3/2/3 Thano5 on most PvE nodes; if the opposing team's health is 6K or less, I can wipe them out in 1-2 turns with the right board, 3-5 turns with a bad one.

champing X-23 next, now that there's actually a possibility of getting covers for older 4*s again, which will bring me up to 21 champed 4*s; after I'm done with her, my only max cover unchamped 4* will be Nick Fury and I can pull tokens again (god I hate hoarding so much)

I am ISO-poor and it is a sad state of affairs

I have two ** characters at 144 but don't want to dump Storm or Hawkeye right now :/

champing war machine now lol since I drew two of his covers on new unvaulted legendaries & I've had him max covered for some time

also drew my 5th green Phoenix today, have her at 5-3-2 (can take to 405). now that they're finally revising scaling (so far just in pve) I can think about leveling her!

At some point you'll want to, like when you get more covers of them. And although the Storm/Hawkeye/Magneto combo is great for the 2* DDQ nodes, there are other combinations that will let you breeze through (I've been using Wolverine/OBW/Carol). xp

champed mordo too. he's pretty cool in tandem with C&D.

yeah, that's the problem, I've already dumped Wolverine and Carol for ISO and am running low on two stars

I recently switched my DDQ team to OBW/Ares/Carol so that I could champ Mordo and Bum Fist. Gonna funnel ISO back into rebuilding my 2*s once I've champed X-23.

I hate Ares, I think it's irrational but I just don't like using him

I mostly use whoever my highest leveled 2* are at the time---right now it's Thor and Bullseye and maybe Storm? I level them so fast now: a cycle is like a month?

ares is pretty good. i've been trying to double up all my 2*'s but i had to sell 4 champed ones to champ mordo

Ares is easily the best RYG 2* and can go buckwild pretty easily (esp with OBW; her healing pretty much mitigates his self-damage from Sunder and her purple helps accelerate him, although he's pretty fast on his own)

(Thor is self-sustaining but doesn't do as much damage, AstWolvie got gimped almost into irrelevancy and is only useful when boosted, and even then I'd rather use Ares' red because it's an AOE)

thor is slower too. ares can get dmg out so quickly (and iirc his green is uncapped?)

well capped at 30 i guess but

after lazy thor was released I got down on 2* thor but I'm back to thinking he's the best RYG 2*, at 5-3-5 since they nerfed his yellow a long time (to distinguish him from lazy thor). but his red is great, up there with 2* wolvie's and considerably cheaper -> faster.

hmm, maybe I should try 5/3/5; I've been so used to 3/5/5 to feed into his green that it never occurred to me that I might be gimping his red

Ares messes with my
1) aversion to self-damaging abilities
2) desire to "optimize" ap meaning that
a) I wait too long on his green too often and waste some / lots of its damage
b) I wait too long on his red too often and waste some / lots of its damage

I don't spend a lot of time worrying about efficiency with Ares. I'm basically like:

- can I kill the dangerous green user with Ares' green? If so, BOOM
- can I fire Ares' red AOE? If so, BOOM
- if I fire yellow, will the countdown get matched away instantly? if not, BOOM (esp if OBW is there because with good luck/timing, you can use her heal to pretty much mitigate the self-damage, esp if can cast yellow again after her heal

you are correct on all counts but this is ~~ my struggle ~~

I use him anyway of course when he's up in the cycle as one of my three highest 2*s
