Oh! Also I tried out the Wasp changes with my lvl 70 2/1/2 paired with SWitch and Falcon and HOLY SHIT

Her yellow alone is OUTSTANDING now; by the time I had enough purple to fire Bird Strike, I had 15 yellow and was able to buff all of his shields into 300+ strike tiles in one turn. The match ended shortly after that. Also, given how her blue works, I am thinking of swapping out SWitch for D4nvers for maximum lols.

yeah she's good now! & Spider Gwen too, who I have at 1-5-4 and thus have some hope of champing.

God, Round 6 is when these PvEs turn to shit. At least I'm only one card away from finishing Starlord, now.

i got 2 bag of tricks tokens from this event and i notice the timer on cashing them in ends in about a day. but i don't really have the roster space for a new char (tho i guess i could probably find it before anything i pulled expired). if i don't use the tokens right now, will i lose anything cashing them in later? like does the prize pool worsen once the initial event expires?

I have been really, really enjoying Wasp/Hawkguy/Star Lord even though all three are seriously undercovered

Star Lord is INCREDIBLE now, he gets one of his countdowns out and suddenly Hawkguy's arrow spam and Wasp's strike/protect flip and buff are each 3 AP, plus every countdown adds damage to SL's red. I've come through multiple PvE goon nodes with zero damage using this combo.

so apparently you can sell your spider-gwen for like 1000-2000hp atm. my is actually decently covered so i'm thinking i won't.

Mordy, whenever one of the characters gets a redesign (buff or nerf), they have an increased sale price for a little time afterwards.

And yes on SL, I've been rocking him even before his buff. #mpqhipster

is this a buff or a nerf? and more importantly should i sell her for the hp?? she's covered 3/1/2

it's a buff (her burst heal now can target her as well as teammates)

if you don't have a good web tile generator to power her, having her isn't critical IMO; the only problem with selling her is that she isn't one of the 12 you can pull with tokens/CP so it will take a looooong time or incredibly fortuitous RNG to build her back up again

Theoretically couldn't you link to someone else's Facebook account so they could get a backup of your roster and then let them restore that backup to their device?

They'd have to stay logged into my FB, although admittedly I don't use my account anymore for anything else than MPQ backups.

Would they? It doesn't erase the roster on your device if you disconnect your Facebook account; why couldn't you disconnect, connect to someone else's so that the account backs up to them, and then disconnect from them? (I do see that this would be more of a "I'm quitting" move than "I'm going on hiatus".)

I think I read on the forums once that D3 monitors that kind of account swapping. Anyway: I'm free! (We'll see how long this lasts.)

I had thought about quitting for a while but I just got Peggy to 5/5/3 and have a cover waiting to champ her, so it looks like I have at least one ISO grind left in me.

Also, I started using Star Lord more in PvE and omg he + 4Cyke is one of my new favorite easy mode combinations (the other is Patch/Dak3n/Thano5, especially on early PvE nodes)

opened my 10 heroic pack got 2 Mordo's and a Wasp (!!) and the rest were 2*. feel like i hit the RNG at the right time.

wish there was an IAP step between $4.99 and $19.99 on HP. those bastards. 13 more hours to decide if i want to bite

in the meantime, i want both those green Jean Grey covers in the vault so I'm actually slowly burning all my vault tokens to get in, burned 50 in the last day. hopefully i won't have to go all the way (started at 290)

champed Jean is amazing. I'm cutting through PVP and PVE right now like butter with her.

I champed Spider Woman a few days ago. I still don't get her. Moon Knight, on the other, he's a beast, happy to have champed him.

working on champing 3 star Thanos now (at 154 now), then I guess all the 2 stars I don't have champed, which is a lot. those go fast though and I'm tired of just selling extra covers.

The SWitch PVP has been fun for exploiting a hole in the SWitch/Jean synergy by using Jean against it; basically I match my SWitch's countdown and let the opposing team's go off, hoping it makes a match 5 and triggers my Jean's AOE stun. Usually by the time this happens, I have enough purple through matches (or can get it from my SWitch countdown during the stun) that I can then drop my Jean's purple AOE on them. Add in Mr Fantastic's Imaginaut and I am usually dropping one of them, if not both.

Of course, when it doesn't work I am eating a big purple AOE against me, which sucks. It works a lot of the time for me, though.

Maybe Quake against Jean/SWitch?

Quake has the advantage of mitigating a lot of the AoE damage but if she isn't boosted, you still get hit with 3K/character from Jean (not sure what SWitch does with boosted Reality Crush; that still might be under or close to Quake's cap).

My other thought was to go with Wasp/OML and turn OML's strikes into ridiculous protect tiles to wipe out as much of the incoming AoE damage as possible but I need more Wasp covers to keep her from insta-dying.

One thing with Jean that was highlighted in her Crash is that she's not exactly the most interesting to play. It's just a matter of getting enough purple and green and then smashing the opponent, which lacks the extra dimensions and strategies of other characters like Iceman or Wasp. Of course, that's a skewed view of her when it's based on her 1-on-1 match and her AOE is less effective.

boosted 3* Thanos Court Death is pretty hilarious, btw

I've been running OML/Thanos/R&G for non-required PvE nodes and it's hilariously good. On early nodes, Thanos ends the match in 3 turns thanks to OML's high match damage. In later nodes, OML/R&G strike tiles ramp up the OML's match damage so that Thanos can again womp the entire team with a bat. Meanwhile, OML heals back up to full at the beginning of the next match and when R&G gets into the danger zone, one yellow match puts them back to almost full health. I start with Thano5 for the added stun on Court Death, then switch to 3* as 5* gets beaten up.

It's kind of funny that they're nerfing OML when Thano5 is going to be the real game breaker in the next year or so.

yeah, Thanos and Black Bolt were better than OML. I thought OML's healing was a bit too good (no health packs needed unless he dies) but otherwise he was in a good place.

Because I have OML undercovered (no red, argh), I mostly use him for match dmg/dmg sponge and not as an offensive character and get actively pissed if I accidentally transform him until I remember that I can usually spam yellow and black to erase the other team in 2-3 turns.

On a side note, bonus heroes FINALLY gave me a red Phoenix cover and I am very, very quickly falling in love with her all over again.

So I'm getting 3 Dino covers this week from my SHIELD Resupply. Is there any reason at all to roster him? Technically I could probably make the space for him (and put off for another few weeks opening any of my 30+ legendary tokens and using my now 1236 CP, not to mention i want to roster rag, sentry, colossus, and the now 8 4*'s i don't have rostered yet) but afaict he's never used for anything? If I do roster him, can I level him up to a point where it's worth selling him and make something off the whole deal? Any advise?

Also, while I have u guys -- I now only have 9 3*'s left to champ! Beast, Gamora, Psylocke, Spider-Man, Hawkeye (not fully covered yet), Col, Rag and Sentry (last 3 not rostered yet). I guess I'll end up champing them all before I'm even ready to champ 4*'s - my closest 4*'s ready to be champed are Wolv (8 covers), Sam Wilson (8 covers), and Spider-Gwen (6 covers). I think Hawkeye would probably be my priority if I had the covers for him - so assuming not what do you guys think... Beast > Gamora > Psylocke > Spider-Man?

My opinion:

Beast is unambiguously the best of the characters you've ranked due to a cheap spammable blue and a green that hits like a truck when boosted. I like Psylocke more than Gamora but her damage output lags behind in the current game while Gamora can be terrifying if she's the last character standing or tanks a lot of the colors (if she can get a lot of her strike tiles out, her damage output goes from "eh" to "wtf why"). Spider Man is great at what he does and what he does is not rewarded by the current mechanics of the game at all, so even though I have fond memories of him from back in the day, I'd say he's a lower priority unless you get enough covers from him to get some Miles covers out of his champion rewards.

Devil Dinosaur is a trophy. If you don't care about trophies, you don't need to roster/level him. (I care about trophies, which is why I championed Bag-Man this week.) He does have a periodic required event but... eh.

I have bagman covers I'm still not sure what to do with too.

Just out of curiosity: What 4*'s does Bagman give when champed?

Also out of curiosity since I'm nowhere near this point (and can't find the information through googling) what do maxxed 3* champs give when you sell them? Has anyone ever done this like I'm always doing with my 2* champs?

Bag-Man gives 0 4*s, because he's a 2*. It would be a no-brainer to champ him if his champ rewards completely skipped the 3* tier!
