Read Only Memories, Gone Home, Proteus are all worthwhile.

Waiting for legacy of the void to come down to $5

calstars, Wednesday, 23 November 2016 21:43 (nine years ago)

dishonored 2 for $35, mankind divided for $25 and x-com 2 for $30 all on amazon. i could get... 1 or maybe 2 of them. can anyone rate them?

Mordy, Thursday, 24 November 2016 16:41 (nine years ago)

also far cry 4 for $15 and the division for $20

Mordy, Thursday, 24 November 2016 19:40 (nine years ago)

Might as well just rename this holiday Backlog Day. Already dipped on Overwatch last week, Mad Max and Borderlands: Handsome Collection today, agonizing on how much more money I want to waste. Tempted on this year's Deus Ex, Doom, MGSV complete, Star Wars: Battlefront complete with the new Rogue One DLC, Witcher 3 complete, GTAV, MKXL all ~$25 from different retailers. Also some cheap older ones like the the Assassin's Creeds Unity/Syndicate ($8) and countless $4 blu-rays. Peer pressure me, guys.

Nhex, Thursday, 24 November 2016 22:48 (nine years ago)

And I've barely scraped GMG and Steam for their deals...

Nhex, Thursday, 24 November 2016 22:49 (nine years ago)

I can highly recommend Witcher 3

Mordy, Thursday, 24 November 2016 22:50 (nine years ago)

i picked up mankind divided for $25 and prodded my single friend w/ more disposable income to buy all the other good deals so i can borrow them from him when he's done

Mordy, Friday, 25 November 2016 16:42 (nine years ago)

my stupid black friday purchase was to pick up rear speakers + centre speaker to turn my 2.0 hifi into a 5.0 hifi (dunno if i'll ever bother getting the .1)

are ps4 games good w/ surround sound?

mint challop (Will M.), Friday, 25 November 2016 16:47 (nine years ago)

Generally yes. I used to have 5.1 but moved my setup to a smaller room and haven't yet been bothered to connect the rear speakers, and I definitely miss the extra info they gave me in eg Destiny

JimD, Friday, 25 November 2016 23:31 (nine years ago)

one month passes...

just picked up the division for $12 at gamestop. pretty good price i thought.

Mordy, Friday, 30 December 2016 19:18 (nine years ago)

Nhex, Monday, 23 January 2017 08:49 (nine years ago)

UFO Defense now free on Humble Bundle and redeemable on Steam.

Mordy, Monday, 30 January 2017 21:35 (nine years ago)

Insane $30 minimum bundle, all to charity
https://www.humblebundle.com/freedom

includes the witness, stardew valley, around 40 more

Einstein, Kazanga, Sitar (abanana), Monday, 13 February 2017 19:35 (nine years ago)

that is an amazing bundle. too bad the only game i really want from it (the witness) doesn't work on osx.

Mordy, Monday, 13 February 2017 19:38 (nine years ago)

ha, i was thinking the same thing.
i also own like 90% of it from previous humble bundles. tempted to buy in for the cause anyway

Nhex, Monday, 13 February 2017 20:07 (nine years ago)

ditto

removed from the rain drops and drop tops of experience (ulysses), Monday, 13 February 2017 20:23 (nine years ago)

mentioned it in the wrong thread, but they're already running out of keys for new buyers on certain games (guessing this happened past the 100k mark), so might as well get in now

Nhex, Wednesday, 15 February 2017 01:24 (nine years ago)

freedom bundle been adding more games the past couple days, also including the Double Fine documentary

Nhex, Friday, 17 February 2017 02:14 (nine years ago)

Witness is $20 on sony ps4 store -- worth getting at that price?

Mordy, Tuesday, 21 February 2017 17:29 (nine years ago)

yes.

Chocolate-covered gummy bears? Not ruling those lil' guys out. (ulysses), Tuesday, 16 May 2017 19:15 (nine years ago)

ziggurat owns

adam, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 19:15 (nine years ago)

Mordy, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 19:19 (nine years ago)

Didn't realize Owlboy got a Mac/Linux release earlier in the year; will probably buy just for that
KRZ is in the backlog from... years ago :(

Nhex, Tuesday, 16 May 2017 20:09 (nine years ago)

Chocolate-covered gummy bears? Not ruling those lil' guys out. (ulysses), Tuesday, 16 May 2017 20:24 (nine years ago)

"55 items from your Steam wishlist are on sale"

ffs

PressAnarchyToContinue (Ste), Thursday, 22 June 2017 21:45 (eight years ago)

haaaa just got a similar email. only 2 of the games on my list are over 50% off, most between 20 and 50%. Sales ain't what they used to be :/

( X '____' )/ (zappi), Thursday, 22 June 2017 21:50 (eight years ago)

bummer for gog that they do literally the same discounts on the games they share with steam a week earlier and no one cares :(

qualx, Friday, 23 June 2017 02:56 (eight years ago)

even those retro releases that used to be on gog only eventually make their way to steam pretty quickly now, which was their unique selling point imo (besides DRM-free)

Nhex, Friday, 23 June 2017 04:46 (eight years ago)

i just think it's funny how people shit themselves over the steam sale when such a huge amount of those deals were already available. the power of brand loyalty i guess. unless the appeal of steam sales really is just getting recent AAA games for cheap?

qualx, Friday, 23 June 2017 05:44 (eight years ago)

anyway i want to play RE4 for the first time, should i buy it cheap on steam or not cheap on ps3/wii u? it *feels* like it's supposed to be a console game

qualx, Friday, 23 June 2017 05:45 (eight years ago)

i bought my sister's wii u because i wanted to catch up with all the nintendo games i've missed since the n64 and it feels wrong to play a gamecube classic on pc

zeebo joke

qualx, Friday, 23 June 2017 05:46 (eight years ago)

ha...?

the current re4 port is supposed to be good, if you have a controller to use i'd just get it on PC

Nhex, Friday, 23 June 2017 06:52 (eight years ago)

i don't know if you're joking but i actually do have a dream in the back of mind to buy an old Wii/Wii U since i haven't played Nintendo games since GameCube. and i hate the idea of emulating them

Nhex, Friday, 23 June 2017 06:53 (eight years ago)

no joke (except the funny zeebo joke) i guess BOTW craze has made me want to play every zelda ever and they're all on wii u, and then i started thinking about all the metroid primes and marios i've never played

not the same as playing on a GC controller (and everything is still nintendo expensive) but it's scratching an itch

qualx, Friday, 23 June 2017 07:15 (eight years ago)

only the first metroid prime is essential fwiw

ciderpress, Friday, 23 June 2017 14:10 (eight years ago)

and I would say Killer7 but I'm a psycho. yeah like Viewtiful Joe there's a PS2 port, but that's the "real" version. but that'll probably never make it to the eShop because Capcom wants to forget that whole era it seems (pours out a cold one for PN 03)

Nhex, Friday, 23 June 2017 16:30 (eight years ago)

Killer7 is great. Hopefully a PC port is in the cards since they did The Silver Case recently.

methanietanner, Friday, 23 June 2017 17:53 (eight years ago)

didn't think about that possibility, hope it comes true. definitely in my top 5 for the decade/console generation. hell Bayonetta 1 got a PC port finally

Nhex, Friday, 23 June 2017 18:27 (eight years ago)

oh shit i need bayonetta too

qualx, Saturday, 24 June 2017 01:13 (eight years ago)
