Took ~7 tries with my 3/4/5 Jean, and I leveled her from 147 to 166 (hopefully that doesn't hobble my plans to max Iceman). In the end, I needed to add +100% match damage, and I got a red Elektra. :\

Drew my first Winter Soldier (a red)...and a green Jean Gray ! Now she's 5-4-3, can level her to 250 (and Beast gives the last green at 183, I have him at 169 I think).

My 5 star draws have been nearly nil (just a Cap) since the beginning

i had a weird, crazy run where I got four ***** caps in like a week. It was bizarre. Then again all my other fives are one carders.

i've really gotta stop opening packs when i don't have the spots for the covers. anyway, i've got 2 free spots. who do u guys like out of these:

2* moonstone (4 covers)
2* captain marvel (3 covers)
3* ragnarok (2 covers)
3* colossus (1 cover)
4* wolverine (1 cover)
4* moon knight (1 cover)
4* invisible woman (1 cover)

i'm guessing it's gotta be 2 of the 4* covers but not sure which two.

Pro Moon Knight: I've read that he's gangbusters at high levels.
Con MK: His powers are butt-random.

Pro Invisible Woman: if that cover of hers is yellow, you have a chance of beating her DDQ 4* node.
Con IW: You'll never use her otherwise.

Pro Wolverine: His black at 5 covers is a nuke.
Con XFW: He used to be the best 4*, now he's middle-of-the-pack (praising with faint damnation).

So now i got 23 three stars champed and all of the two stars.
I guess i will keep grinding until all the three stars are champed.

during the last event, quicksilver and invisible woman were boosted, and i must say that is a pretty fun combo. her force bubbles count as the "same" as his... blur bubbles? so you can make 2-3 blue matches, get 7 blue AP, wait until there's another blue you can make (be it regularly or via quicksilver's black power, as long as you have 5 black AP), pop her blue power, bubble up 3 team-up tiles, and then make the blue switch and hit his supersonic. You can do this shockingly quickly with the two of them.

my current combo of favor is iron fist/scarlet witch/power man
you lose blue and red but you can farm purple and black and demolish teams by the seventh round or so
switch two star hawkeye for luke cage and you can skate by any of the non character fights virtually untouched.

if i can hit another luke cage cover or two in the next couple of weeks, he is definitely getting champed. have him at 12 covers now... actually have almost enough iso to champ another already, but none of my cover 14s are coming up in DDQ for a while. he might just be worth doing immediately. considering my upcoming ddq options are octopus, colossus, and ragnarok... mehhhh.

Cage is doubtlessly worth it, Will.

Project 2* Refresh is almost complete. I've sold all of my max champ 2*s and releveled and champed all of them except AstWolvie, Thor and Bagman. I'm now ready to champion my last lingering 3*s (Mohawk Storm, Beast, Deadpool, Quicksilver, Doc Ock, Colossus, Sentry, LOLnarok, probably in that order of priority) with a good pipeline of supplemental ISO coming in from all of the 2* covers I was wasting before which I can also use to beef up the better-covered characters I have in the 4* tier (XForce Wolvie, Jean Grey, IW (lol), Nick Fury, Elektra, SamCap)

and just this second i hit a squirrel girl 14th cover... does anyone use her? might just champ her because i can now (i can live without a high-level luke cage until he is champable, which don't be for at least 3 weeks unless i luck into some of his covers)

I use her a lot, love her purple and green and that's a needed a color combo; obv behind Kamela Khan and Iron Fist but as they get hurt you can circulate her in.

Squirrel Girl's utility doesn't really pop up until you put her up against someone who floods the board with special tiles, at which point she starts hitting like a Mack truck when she's boosted.

Well actually her green is generally okay, the only problem is that the countdown tiles don't often last long enough to dump out the dmg I want from them (the cascades from the destroyed tiles are helpful, though).

line up your AP right and patch/loki/squirrel girl can be a heckuva combo

i went for it because i have no chill and i wanted a leg token. and what do i get surprise another 4* cover for something i didn't have yet, meaning i get to burn another roster spot for a character i may never use loooool

Who do y'all use more: Mystique or Daredevil

DD slightly more, but neither of them are in my regular rotation. Usually I'll team them up with Patch (and in DD's case, IM40 as well) to try to one-shot a scary opponent (with Mystique at 5/3/5 and making sure to do the Shapeshift/Masterstroke combo -- which by itself does 7K -- after Berserker Raging).

Oh I might start to use Mystique more often as a black/purple generator, which goes well with XFW and XFDP.

My feeling is that Daredevil is more useful overall. Mystique's black is amazing if you purple first, but otherwise her blue and purple don't seem very helpful overall.

Yeah, DD is useful if you can get pair him with someone who can shake the board (Loki? Mags? 3* Cyclops?) or tile placers (QS, GSBW?) to try to match your red trap.

DD is better, especially against characters who flood the board with special tiles. His red can be hilariously fun (DD + IM40 = never match red, AI) but because it's a trap tile, it gets overwritten a lot by the characters you're probably bringing him in to counter.

I find Mystique more fun, though. Her purple/black combo can be DEVASTATING, particularly when she's boosted and especially because it involves a stun so you can stop one character and then nuke another.

I use Mystique A LOT. Her purple is tops: stuns, sets up the black boom, but also drains enemy AP. It's her best ability.

DD is only good for the stun

DD is an antidote to characters who flood the board with special tiles (Daken, Blade, 3* Bullseye, CMags, Mohawk Storm, etc) which is somewhat situational; when you don't get that matchup, he's not super useful aside from red trap shenanigans. However, when you do get that matchup, you can stomp on some very annoying characters with him (add in the stun and it's even better).

Although I love Mystique, don't get me wrong. I find her more useful overall but I think DD has a better niche.

I agree with all that. I just don't encounter his useful niche very much so it comes down to his red and blue. I like his red but it sucks how often it gets overwritten

i use his purple all the time in soul-crushing PVE nodes, very helpful
mystique's purple only slightly less useful but still great, esp. when they buffed it (forget what the buff was)

Guys, you only use DD's red when there's an imminent red match to be made!

I like having a red battery that lets me spam the board with trap tiles, personally.

One thing about actually using Iceman regularly now is that the developers put a bag over the head of the wrong character.

I think her haircut's cute so I don't notice her animations. Peggy's look derpy, though.

I pulled another green Phoenix, she's 5/0/4. Not having a purple limits her usefulness!
