yeah i vipped myself. also had spare gplay money and figured fuck it, i guess i'll pay $14 CAD for a legendary token (or two i guess)

I'm gonna avoid it this first go around I think, the rewards don't look as good as I'd feared. but two legendaries would be nice!

once I realized it wasn't an automatic resubscription I figured $10 was cheap enough for me to investigate whether it was worth doing

Yup, 5/5/3. Think of him as a faster R&G (a green that does team damage, a blue countdown that resolves in one turn AND which counts as a friendly special tile to do big green damage) but without the permanent healing.

SOOOO bored of doing Big Enchilada w/my slow but assured CMags/Patch/Loki team. Suggestions for a faster setup?

I use IM40/Fist/Cap, once you start having like 30 AP red/blue + 1-2 of each color in countdowns on the board it gets v quick indeed

You can also try a strike tile bonanza team where each character creates strike tiles on a different color (i.e., OML/RG/BP, OML/Daken/RG, BP/RG/Daken, OML/Psylocke/RG, etc). Get enough strike tiles out there and you start hitting like a truck, especially on goon nodes

My old BE lineup used to be Falcon/Daken/Blade. Often you'll get a buttload of strikes out quickly, either through green matches or letting red accumulate on the board, all the while buffing them with yellow matches. Get purple when you can to bring out Blade's attack tiles, and you'll be doing 3-4K damage per turn. You'll take a fair bit of damage, and you can be overwhelmed by countdown tiles, but it's pretty potent offense.

Also, if you like to live dangerously, IM40/She Hulk/Patch can run through opponents quickly or quickly become a disaster.

I play different days every day, I get bored otherwise. though I do end up favoring those who are at the front of my roster, so I use a lot of black panther (he's the only one for whom I've gotten the first 4 star champ progression reward).

for 3 stars have just bullseye (I have one cover waiting), quicksilver, and spidey left to champ. then I can start building up 4 stars.

er different TEAMS every day

so i've got 2* wolverine and 2* cap at the cover max but not leveled up at all. wolverine i have 6 covers i could feed if i champed him (cap i have none). i also have 6 daken covers (but no rostered daken). i didn't totally understand what you were all talking about re leveling up 2* chars. my question is - if i need the spot (i have a 3* squirrel girl and a 4* star-lord i'd like to roster) - do i bother wasting the iso on the wolverine to champ and then feed him the covers or should i just sell the cap, wolverine and daken covers and use those spots for the 3* + i want to roster? when does it become worthwhile to screw around w/ 2* chars? (nb i have champed hawkeye, obw, storm, ares, thor, human torch and magneto - so i'm not lacking for 2* champs.)

I'd say prioritize your 3s and 4s over 2s. I only carry 2 2*s (Wolverine and Black Widow) and that's enough for me to get through the Deadpool Dailies.

with the new ISO mechanic it's worth it to champ that wolverine imo

champ him, feed him the covers, feed him more covers til he's maxed THEN sell him for 65K ISO your 3* will be craving, then repeat

The bottom line is that ** Wolverine is the fourth (or fifth! (x23)) best Wolverine in the game, and **s are plentiful. But I would cut the cord on a low-level three in favor of having more championable **s on my roster. I have six championed twos and I am very reluctant to get rid of any of them because they keep giving rewards and they keep getting stronger. Those rewards are better than being able to use Squirrel Girl in a few events imo.

The real litmus is that you're beating Under the Sea and Third Time's the Charm regularly. If not, I'd keep working on my two-star roster.

i am beating both consistently and beating the big enchilada pretty much every day that i have the right char (sometimes takes a few tries but only missed one in the last few weeks)

Patch IMO. Star Lord is not a well-respected 4*.

starlord is better than his reputation would have it but your 3 stars will be more useful sooner. I'm of course assuming you're not spending real money on the game; if you are, then I think it's possible to jump to 4 star competitiveness pretty quickly. otherwise I think the rise through 3 stars is the way to go.

Yeah Patch is fantastic, but I'm a sucker for characters who automatically heal themselves...

I don't use Patch much anymore, except for the lols, because berserker rage makes the match into russian roulette. but if you get one off, you're generally assured of a chance to win (albeit with very little health).

Patch is relatively safe when used with Loki, Jean, or Daredevil (to a lesser degree She-Hulk, Moonstone and Bullseye)

I usually wait until there's at least one purple match out there for me before Berserking so I can hopefully get rid of one of the bad tiles right away.

Mordy what I would really recommend would be to sell one of your champed 2*s that you don't use much and keep both Patch and Star-Lord.

what do u guys like to do with commander points? i've got 65.

I spend mine on classic legendary tokens, but you should be careful about doing the same, since the levels of your enemies are directly tied to the average level of your three highest characters.

I've never gotten anything good w/ em. Mostly chuck 'em at new characters and then mulch the characters for points.

My 2/5/5 Phoenix and 4/1/3 Logan say they're worth it.

I got the Peggy cover on pull #2 from her vault. Lucky. She's easily one of the best 4*s.

Oh god yes, that team when running well is murder city

I just discovered that 3* Bullseye turns an opposing team's Carnage from a menace to a free attack/strike tile generator as long as you can collect enough purple and green to down him in one turn. The Peggy node in PVE went from nightmarish to super simple once I realized this
