in one of the most recent losses, i was down to 30% health on my front character before the enemy even DID anything, because her arcane incantation popped up and made a match5 and a hell cascade continued. THEN i got hit with 3 powers, THEN another match 5.

This basically happened me yesterday. Different details, same results. She's a nightmare.

Cascade hell is one reason why I like pairing SWitch with OML; big cascades where the baseline matches do 400+ dmg without crits are kind of great

Josh Austin: The VIP mode is a new game feature that is coming to Marvel Puzzle Quest on June 20, once the new R103 update goes live. Players can become a VIP by spending $9.99 (USD) per month (28-day calendar) to receive an additional daily reward. VIP mode is not linked to having to login each day either, as players can claim the next unclaimed reward in the queue even if several days have passed without play. There are some pretty sweet rewards for signing up for the VIP Mode which should help boost rosters in more ways than one.

Josh Austin: Yes, there are lots of reasons to become a VIP! The daily rewards will include Legendary and Heroic tokens, Iso, Command Points and Hero Points. Also, VIP players will see the health for their heroes regenerate 25% faster which is something that has never been done before in the game. That means, save some of your health packs for another day and turn to your favorite Marvel characters more often.

holy damn, i got to 800 last night. if i weren't so tired i might've even kept going to 1000, but then again, fuck a drax cover. didn't bother shielding bc i don't really care about placing so much as i did that SW cover, and went from 810 to 466 overnight. haha.

got my daily reward sw just now, champed and applied, SW at 167 now, opened the legendary, another hulkbuster! HB is approaching relevance! (1/4/3)

Right now the only character that you could say has representation in every tier is Spider-Man, right (and that's only if you count Miles and Peter together)

guess so, wolvie's missing 1*, iron's missing 2*, america's missing 1*, they're the only ones in tier 5 who come close

I don't even know what they would use for 1* Wolverine, esp since they used the brown and tan costume for 2* Daken

Just pulled my 14th Hulkbuster, I'm officially on the clock to championing him now.

I pulled a War Machine and a Drax today. And got my first Carnage black as a daily reward (4-1-5 now). 166d Daredevil but need 5k to champ.

after throwing a ton of ISO into 4*s to get more of them as viable substitutes (and to boost Elektra for her DDQ node, which I got on attempt 3), I've circled back on my 2* recycle project

I've started selling my max-leveled 2* characters and rebuilding them so I can champion more of them to feed my 3* champions/push my final 3* holdouts to champion status. I now have champed Moonstone 2Torch and Bullseye, am rebuilding 2Cap, AstWolvie, 2Thor, CStorm, MagNow and ModHawk and still have max champed ModHawk, MagNow and CStorm. The plan is to recycle my last remaining max champs as soon as I cover max the 2*s I'm rebuilding with the aim of instantly championing them with the thought being that while my current champs make DDQ easymode, it should be winnable with any combination of champs as I'm rebuilding them, only now I'll have more of them to act as batteries for my 3* tier and to generate ISO to level any odd men out. I expect this will chew up a lot of ISO initially but once I get them all rolling with cover rewards, I will be able to flood my 3* roster with covers, which will in turn allow me get more 4* covers and bump those chars

It's very tempting though to max out my existing 4* tier and then circle back to rebuilding the 2*s, though, and may make more sense long-term

Same. I just sold my 2* 144 Hawkeye because I've accumulated 8 of his covers in queue and the first was going to expire today.

I'm pretty sure that noseless Wolverine was a Joe Madureira design, and he was about the only penciller that didn't make it look stupid (without giving up and drawing a nose).

yeah i vipped myself. also had spare gplay money and figured fuck it, i guess i'll pay $14 CAD for a legendary token (or two i guess)

I'm gonna avoid it this first go around I think, the rewards don't look as good as I'd feared. but two legendaries would be nice!

once I realized it wasn't an automatic resubscription I figured $10 was cheap enough for me to investigate whether it was worth doing

Yup, 5/5/3. Think of him as a faster R&G (a green that does team damage, a blue countdown that resolves in one turn AND which counts as a friendly special tile to do big green damage) but without the permanent healing.
