I pulled a black Ghost Rider from the ddq4 token, very helpful against 5* Cap.

And after not pulling a single 2* Bullseye for three weeks -- he was at 142, and I really needed to open up roster spots for several 4* and 5* covers in my queue -- I get 9 of those today. Let me roster Silver Surfer, so now I have all the 5*s except for Cap.

some advice plz

i have championed storm classic, black widow original, and thor marvel now which is like my core 2* team. i also have an max cover magneto, wolverine astonishing, hawkeye, human torch, and ares. i then have a bunch of 3* and 4* guys but really 1-3 covers in each so very very far from maxxing a single one out. should i champion some of these other 2*s or just save any iso i get for the next while until i have a 3* or 4* to use it on?

also should i delete any of those 2* covers? i have a 2x 3* black widow, 3* ragnarok, and a 3* bullseye i could roster. not sure what ppl think about the 3* black widow? i know the 2* is supposed to be v good.

I love 3* GSBW and still use her often. Unfortunately though the game has kind of moved away from these slow build-up characters and defensive characters

The Champion mechanic is nice because you can build up your 2*s to be as good as viable 3*s until you actually do have a cover maxed 3*. You probably don't need more than six 2*s, though (if even that many). OTOH you get the nice benefit from 2* Champions of slowly treadmilling to their 3* version (like Astonishing Wolvie -> Patch, OBW -> GSBW, etc)

I'm thinking of selling my The Hulk (Totally Awesome) to free up a spot. Anyone like that one?

Mordy - go ahead and champion the shit out of your 2* imo.

It will take a long time to pull enough covers to make your 3* roster viable and championing will keep you competitive in the meantime. mags/hawkeye and OBW/wolverine will take you a long long way.

Don't worry about the ISO, you'll reach a plateau where it just piles up until you get 5-6 legit 3* fully covered. At which point it will disappear quickly lol.

totally awesome hulk is the worst

I dunno about gray suit, it's true she's slow but teamed with model 40, or hood or loki, you can get some serious green pretty quick. plus her purple obv. esp. in pve she's very useful, and her color combo is nice: at the 3 star level good purple is hard to find.

Feel like Kamela Khan and Scarlet Witch obsoleted her in that regard, though I still like to use GSBW w/Spidey (who is much worse) and a random Black character for PvEs

3* BW + Prof. X is ridiculous. If you get two match-5s from BW's purple, PX gives you 8 purple AP back.

GSBW, Scarlet Witch, and Professor X form what's known as Charlie's Angels, where once you get enough purple you can easily get into an endless cycle of purple and green generation to destroy the enemy in a single turn. xp abanana otm

still working on SW and miles from viable Prof X but I've been poor-manning it with GSBW/lazythor/hulk

I just tried this with a lvl 94 1/1/2 Prof X and it was hilariously awesome

wow that combo is fun! my prof x is 3-1-1 but he's buffed in the pve & I tried it out to comical effect (and brutal victories)

at 3 blue prof x the combo gets a bit tiring bc you end up jonesing for purple but when you hit the vein finally it's aahhhhhhhhhhhh

yeah in this xmen pvp my 1-2-2 Phoenix has been cleaning up. she's got over 20k hp, and her red does close to 3000, plus creates two strike tiles.

this has been my team for quite a while. i'm still only doing the deadpool dailies.

Latest patch: increased 5* odds, and more importantly, the amount of ISO you get from the Daily Alliance Bonus is bumped up. https://d3go.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=45177

Also the sell-off rewards are increased, so don't sell anyone until the patch is live on your device.

Nice thing I think is that once you max champ you don't lose your progress, so you can just keep making more from max level, getting the rewards, and reselling them (no need to reinvest ISO taking them to 94/166/etc.)

I don't understand---if you sell a champ then add one cover of that champ back to your roster, then it's right back at a champed max?

If I'm reading this correctly, you get back enough ISO so that you can jump instantly to cover max level once you've gotten 13 covers for that character again, allowing you to start from the beginning of the champion rewards.

I'm VERY tempted to sell all of the 2*s that I don't regularly use to level my 4*/5*s so more of them are useful/maxed at their current level and then just stockpile ISO as it comes in so I can rechamp my auxilliary 2*s later as I reaccumulate covers.

On a max level championed character, it's almost enough Iso to level max them.

okay yeah that is correct:

2* champion: 65K sellback/69.5K to relevel
3* champion: 105K sellback/119.9K to relevel
4* champion: 320K sellback/365.8K to relevel
5* champion: 500K sellback/553.9K to relevel

So I'm now basically never going to sell a 2* cover until it's about to expire and I can't immediately rebuild it to max.

have some covers expiring soon & i'm not sure if i should delete some of my current stuff to make room. you guys seem to be down on totally awesome the hulk who i have rostered. i also have a two star magneto i'm not really using. the other 1 cover 3+4 stars stuff i have: ****black carnage, ****black drax, ****purple howard, ****blue nick fury, ****yellow professor x, ****purple spider-gwen, ****blue punisher, ***red deadpool, ***blue daredevil, ***black dr doom, ***red she-hulk. the stuff i'd like to roster: 2x ***black widow covers (red + purple), ***purple bullseye, ***green ragnarok, ***green punisher, 2x ***black colossus, 2x ***thor (yellow + green), ***blue mystique, ***yellow t'challa. feel like i should def sub out the hulk + magneto for i guess black widow and thor but idk -- any of these must haves? and any of the stuff i have not? (sorry if this format is utterly unreadable - i'm looking at it now and i certainly seems unreadable to me but u guys are experts.)

also somewhat related i championed my hawkeye to go along w/ my black widow, thor, and storm. the other 2*'s i have that i are max level and i could champion next are ares (i actually have a ton of covers sitting around for him so i'm probably him probably next even tho he's kinda redundant w thor), and wolverine. ares def next or wolverine i've heard good things about (and i do have a couple covers sitting around for him). sadly i'd love to champ my human torch who i like to use all the time w/ thor + black widow however i only have 1 red cover for him which :/ unlucky!

2* Magneto one of the best 2*s mostly because of his purple ability (even post-nerf it's still useful)

nick fury is still pretty good but takes a long time to get there, need blue covers and high levels

2* wolvie worth champing just so you can get Patch covers

3* deadpool is kind of a nice wildcard since his pink ability is an instant win m/l if u push the whale button. not a metaphor

toss colossus and ragnarok
