you can see world records on the leaderboards, think the record is 5 billion or something. 100 million is pretty good going though!

just picked up kane & lynch for v.v.cheap, it's fun!!!

derivative, clunky, and with some framerate issues but still enjoyable enough

Making a new Silver acc't that is Japanese is one way. Not sure if you can buy w/ an American CC, but you can definitely download demos etc

I believe there are mod chips that can be bought to make it region free, but also have the impression that it's more complicated and possibly more expensive than just buying a japanese 360(?), unfortunately.

Tried out the Virtual-On demo this morning and didn't really get it. The graphics are nice, but the game just felt clunky. So far I'm glad I just played the demo and didn't buy it (really getting thankful for these demos saving me money of late). Anybody want to convince me it's worth a second shot?

Apparently there's a multiplayer demo for the new Bionic Commando up today which I may try out tonight, but so far nothing about that game has looked very appealing to me

its possible that there might be more depth if you go through the LONG tutorial on the demo, but without doing that it seemed like pretty much button mashing nonsense.

and fuck if i am going to spend a bunch of time on tutorial mode in a demo, right?

fair disclosure - my mood might have been preset, because i played this right after suffering through the alone in the dark demo because they were selling it in a store for dirt cheap and i figured "hey maybe it wont suck!"

I did not enjoy the Bionic Commando demo.

I did enjoy the UFC demo.

Conclusion: I am a simpleton.

Raiden Fighters Aces comp is out in the US - available at eb/gamespot only so far though - apparently. Only $20. Solid release.

of course everyone else in the world seems to be loving the UFC game, and as i have mentioned way too many times, i thought the demo for that was poo city.

Mirror's Edge is a tenner now, at least in our stores. I'll probably pick that up this week.

I really liked that, £10 seems about right for how short it is.

kane & lynch is a fun enough knockabout, clunky controls and a dodgy framerate. not worth £40 but I picked it up for £7 and it ws perfect value for money

played gun on str8 xbox and really enjoyed it, assuming 360 version is exactly the same, but same not bad is prob a decent enough endorsement.

I'm trying to put all my video files on a mini drive and attach that to my 360 and it doesn't seem to be working. It's a 250gig Maxtor one touch; anybody with more tech sense than me know how I can just set up an additional drive beside the 360 to house all my video files?

What's not working? Is the 360 not recognizing the drive, or not recognizing the video files?

It's not recognizing the drive. Won't even come up as a portable device.
I've tried a 250 gig and a 1.5 tb. Is there a limit on how much it can recognize?

Works fine with an 8gig flash drive for instance

nope, PC. Can anybody who has a working drive attached to the portable drive usb slot on the front of their 360 tell me what the make is?

My nephew has a Western Digital that I gave him that I know for a fact works. I think I gave it to him formatted FAT32 because I was using it on a old linux/XP dual booting machine.

My WD 250g drive is picked up fine by mine, I think it failed first time, but after that - no problems.

Sky online tv service coming to Xbox! probably cost far too much money, but a nice idea.

what if you already have a sky subscription?

I expect it'll work the way it already works on PCs - if you've already got sky then the stuff you'd have access to anyway is free. If you don't, subscriptions are minimum £7.50 a month.
