lol so basically i need to roster all of them :p

the wolverine is 2*, bullseye is 2* too

I'd roster them in this order:

Howard
Sam Wilson (I assume 3*) (esp if it's yellow/blue)
Steve Rogers
Human Torch
Ares
Doc Ock
Wolverine (actually a decent character but kind of unnecessary when compared to Ares)
Bullseye

Someone ran the math and you get back all of the ISO you spend on 2* and 3* champions plus extra hero points, tokens, and legendary points, so my strategy has been "champion everyone, no exceptions"

That's if your character is already at their native max -- i.e. if you're starting from scratch, you'd lose ISO building them up.

Anyway, I've fully champed 5 2*s (OBW, Thor, Mags, Storm, Daken), and Hawkeye is next at 140. Highest 3* is GSBW (182).

down to my last six *** to cover max: one cover for quicksilver, beast and colossus; two for blade; five for doc ock and TWELVE for vision.

so how am i gonna get in the ilx alliance guysz

I've been been talked out of championing all my 3*s, on the reasoning that spending 120K ISO just to get a legendary token and the ensuing prizes is better invested in your 4*s.

I am currently leveling 3* Cyclops (lvl 142) so I can champion him; once that's done, I'm going to start leveling 4* Jean (5/2/1 lvl 131) and Iceman (0/4/1 lvl 74), then Nick Fury (4/2/2 lvl 131) and Elektra (4/2/3 lvl 127). Also looking at 4* Sam Wilson (2/1/1 lvl 82), 4* Deadpool (1/1/2 lvl 78), Thing (4/0/1 lvl 74), Hulkbuster (2/1/1 lvl 70), Prof X (1/1/2 lvl 70) and Kingpin (1/1/2 lvl 70)

might as well just level that hulkbuster/prof x/kingpin now, what'll that cost like 12 iso?

I've been resisting spending ISO on 4s until they are at a point where I could see myself starting to use them

I might use Prof X at 1/1/2 though

I'm spending ISO to max out my fours right now because I have so few of them that it isn't a big expense. I just championed Luke Cage and Cyclops and that obviously got pretty pricey at the end. It feels so nice to level up for like 100 iso instead of 2500 iso.

I think I'm going to champ my twos next. Might as well get it over with so I don't keep throwing those covers away.

really dunno what i am doing w/ my iso now. i don't have any cover-14s in the queue, but i will soon enough (currently have 6 un-champed 3* at 13 covers: storm, shulk, deadpool, psylocke, ragnarok, beast). also have some less-covered ones i could level up due to usefulness (switch 323, cyclops 135, kamala 434, qsilver 534?). about 80k iso just sitting there, gotta decide if i am going to champ the chumps or bump up the useful non-champs.

or i could just level xfw (cover maxed, level 190). every option feels like a C- decision right now. leaning towards psylocke and deadpool 3* champs, because maybe in 6 months i'll get a single damn 4* DP cover from them.

i have a batch of cover maxed level 141 three stars that i champion as i get a new cover; generally takes about ten days of play to get them to 166. in between those, i level the other three stars to 141 so that I can maximize them.

IMO anyone who calls Shulk a chump just hasn't figured out how to use her

that green is DEADLY and the blue can render enemy special tile generators useless; throw in the red after the blue has given you some beefed-up strike tiles yowza

I was running through PvE with Shulk/Hood/Blade and it was ludicrous how few attacks the AI was able to levy against me

i use the word chump strongly, i just already have 17 champed 3*s so i don't ~need~ any of them as actual characters (more just to get those purple packs & eventually start generating more ISO or whatever)

i mean i have a champed iron fist and i keep forgetting to even use him because he's "only" level 168 which means he's on like my 3rd page of dudes and he's one of the last ones i champed

my go-to champ trio these days is iron fist+luke cage+IM40 or Patch or lazydaken or lazy cap
you can generally get through a whole PVE board without healing with them

I champed she hulk, the first in my "well I guess I need the legendary tokens" effort after finishing my first batch of champs. I loathe the green against me so I abuse it against them. She's good.

Only thing holding me back re: she-hulk tho -- totally awesome hulk rewards. at least 3pool & psylocke give 4pool, beast gives jean, storm gives ladythor... even rags gives x23. anyway, her next ddq isn't until april 28 so i have time (rags is soon, but seriously, fuck that dude... storm is april 23 so i can wait to see how my iso looks then).

What's a good strategy to be competitive in season events? It seems like a big time suck to really compete if you're also doing DDQ/PVE/PVP.

Like, if you spend x hours on the pvp event how much time do you spend on SHIELD sim

I try to get to 300 or 400 in all of the season PVPs (though realistically I only get to 101 more often), and then take a week in the SHIELD Simulator to get to 2K, which cumulatively has always been enough to get the 10-pack.

Shield sim is more about timing than around time spent. I can get the final progression reward easily, but then I'll lose most of my points by being attacked. To get a decent final score I think you'd need to do a late-season push and use shields a lot.

basically i play deadpool daily when i wake up and then play whatever when i go to sleep. i should probably prioritize this game more as it's a very productive and socially responsible thing to do

it's hilarious going back to older posts before the gameplay changed around and seeing how incomprehensible some sections are given the current context of the game

I can't even remember the last time i got a ten pack. it sounds so luxurious

the simulator is a godsend re: getting the 10-pack, esp if you have a diverse enough roster that you can cycle through to avoid using health packs

I almost exclusively use one team in Simulator: Loki/Daken/Patch. Once in a while I'll change it up, but that team probably accounts for 1800 points.

i've been using BP/GSBW/2* Storm just bc it's hilarious

howard the duck seems annoying, I dunno, enjoying the new pve anyway just b/c NEW DIALOGUE. they should let alliances write pves we could do a great one I'm sure

the new ones are a lot better than the old ones - reading the Captain America dialogue in "Unstable ISO-8" still makes me cringe

I've read that you can get a Howard cover in the final sub-mission, haven't been able to see for myself though.

I can report that this is, in fact, true (signed, the owner of a single solitary purple Howard cover)

Do you have 3* Spidey? His stun may help you slow down the pileup of damage enough to get through, plus his heal can save you if things go wrong
