hulkbuster red, now 3/0/0

how are you guys winning with such low covers on Chuck?

start with bonuses of pink/blue +2 & max out blue/pink damage and crit damage
get purple and go invisible as quickly as possible
(die about five times doing the above and then losing your purple chit)
slowly chip away at elektra's health and protect protect protect the invisible tile
aim for purple so you have an immediate backup if the invisible tile pops
get about 75 turns and preserve your invisible
win

mine's 1/0/0 so i'm not even gonna try

it's easier with 2 purple as you can improve the strike tiles Elektra gives you.

yeah if you don't have the invisible power, don't bother.

i'm still recovering my boosts from when I wiped out on all those Ant-Man tries last week. i'll see how it goes

Boosts help, but getting a good board and using the right strategy are just as important. For an under-covered Prof, you definitely want to deny black so that she can't Shadow Step, thereby prolonging the match and increasing the chances that your Invisibility tile gets destroyed. Then whether or not you let her collect purple to give you strike tiles is up to you (I chose not to because I wanted to get as much backup purple as possible), and try to protect that tile (and if it's matchable, usually let her match it).

Just beat Elektra on my first attempt with a 0/1/2 lvl 70 Prof X

Basically I'd you can stay invisible, you can't lose; I boosted 2 b/p, 2 all, +100% dmg but didn't need the dmg boost

checked my roster, realized my Prof X is 1/0/2 *blah*

FWIW I rarely use my 168 DD nowadays.

I only started leveling him because I had the cover tbh; now I'm within 10 levels and it's like... I'm not giving up now, I'm so close!

(that said, the introduction of Ultron goons into DDQ is making a Switch/DD combo very attractive to me)

Oooh that sounds useful! Add in IM40 to set up some red traps, too. (I was going to include Cyclops as well, but if you're bringing in him, you're almost always going to use his red.)

i am enjoying a scarlet witch / grey suit widow / classic mags combo with the latter two championed and switch at cover max.
switch makes pink, widow uses pink to make green, green takes 3k damage for all enemies. mags has backup duty for any blue or red picked up and uses yellow to shield. it's a good combo!

yeah I have run that combo, it's super fun to start dropping green/red/blue nukes all over the place

Boosted Beast is a secret monster, IMO his blue is underrated

have been trying to level gsbw to beat my 14th cover to expiry, but it isn't going well... need 90k more in 7 days. but then i got another one (ddq i think?) which refilled me w confidence but it's at 9d now, tough to beat the clock there as well. then today i got another one... 14d. MPQ is really keen on me champing her.

rather than cave and start paying these fuckers for iso, i've built an ironclad policy of selling covers as i receive them if they're not part of the LONGTERMPLAN.xls (at the moment, that's hulk, lazy cap, IM40, power man in that order). I'm championing Loki because I wound up with three Lokis. After that I'm not opening up any covers until I 166 Luke Cage and 3* Falcon (who's at 66, just pulled a cover for him - zero chance of getting him to 166 in time, I'd say).

I'm going back to hoarding tokens until I get more 3s maxed I think, less stressful that way

my longtermplan.xls is mental and p easy since my 3* game is like 60% champed and only a very few of the unchamped ones are at 13 covers already (four in fact). i just wish i had a better way to predict my daily iso in

xxp early levels are SO cheap that the diff between 60-166 and 130-166 is like 110k vs 80s. my BW was at 46 when i started the task of 166ing her (which i started in prep of her ddq)

basically rn it's: GSBW ASAP, maybe psylocke/deadpool (both at 13c), definitely not ragnarok (the last one at 13)... but not spending on them until i'm SURE that i won't be able to spend on one of my 12 covers (blade and IF, and she-hulk I guess). Everyone at 11 or less covers I ignore.

60% may be an exaggeration. 14 champed, 17 not champed. if i ever get ot a point where i don't feel like continuing to pour money into lesser 3*s amybe i'll actually grow up and max that xfw what's been sitting at L190 since forever

I'd probably champ Ragnarok over Psylocke, tbh! He leads to X-23, although now I see that PSY gives XFDP. Anyway, Rags isn't terrible, he's just a support character now (whom I never use).

I'm not sure what my longtermplan.xls is -- it used to be Bullseye and then Beast and then SWitch and Squirrel Girl, but that's been delayed by probably a month because I've been putting ISO into some of the 4*s to beat their DDQ nodes. Now that I've got Beast done, Bullseye will be last one to 166 from 40 (SWitch has been 5/3/5 at 153 because I haven't gotten a 14th cover for her yet), and I'm sad to say that SG may never get levels unless I'm bored.

And I've also seen some D3 forum posters say that champing unleveled 3*s is not a great ISO investment, not when you have 4*s to level.

I don't really have 4s to level. I have XFW who could eat a bunch, but I can wait. None of the rest are worth investing it (only Devil Dino and Invisible Woman have any sort of significant covering, although XFDP is at 4/1/1 so maybe I will target Psylocke sooner rather than later).

That said it takes FOREVER to get 4* card out of champs, no? my highest is currently at 175 and it's still eight covers away from giving me a 4* (and it's... dr doom... so it'll give me... IW. fml)

xp i have lots of 4*s to level and three 5*s, but most of them are not viable cover-wise. it's still tempting to bring those legendary cards with one cover up to 270 just because they're so meaty

Crazy thing is that I might do it, now that I'm in a situation where sometimes I have more HP than I do ISO.

I'm not likely to expand my roster any time soon, I don't play PVP very competitively anymore, and obviously I can't spend HP on buying covers, so why not!

I was running IM40/FatCap/GSBW on the Hulk nodes and I literally felt invulnerable. Basically I took minimal damage until the first Recharge went off and then it was lockdown/murder city, esp once I got the second Recharge of and started rolling stuns across the enemy team. (The node with the solo Hulk was laughably simple once I got the stun in place, definitely the easiest on the board due to there only being one character to worry about.)

I have 3 Quicksilvers in my queue all of a sudden. After having had to use him since he's an essential in the PVE, now I'm thinking I should champion him! Aargh longtermplans.xls.

Think I keep falling into this pattern, where if I do two or more weeks of straight DDQ every day I burn out. Lately I've been doing just a few nodes a day, even that Beast tourney wasn't enough to draw me back in

I finally maxed out the covers of another 4* -- Sue :( not sure if i'll bother championing her. I also got the 10 pack already: Iceman purple (now 4/4/2) and a bunch of covers for championed characters. BTW the Deadpool Daily final node has two Deadpools in it today.

KK/IM40/Lazy Cap makes just about any Big Enchilada trivial.

I try to avoid using a teams in ddq though

Yeah but if you used Cap/IM40 you could murder them and lose maybe 1K health on characters with well over 10k

Also Beast's healing won me a match that went terribly so I'm not mad at it

I need to start bumping LazyCap and IM, two of my lowest 3*.

My go-to Big Enchilada is KK/Thor/Doc Ock.
