Beat the 4* DDQ today after not even having Deadpool the first time. Mine was 3/2/2, tried a few times with him under 100, then once I started running out of damage boosts I caved and spent the 20K I had to leveling to 133. Which was a good idea because I think I took and survived a Surgical Strike, beat XFW with about 2000 life left.

I can't believe I just spent 4.5 hours creating a spreadsheet to project the ISO needed to champion various characters, taking my daily grind and the DDQ award into consideration.

Super lucky today. Got my first Prodigal Sun token, got the Legendary Cover pack. Pulled that, got a Green Phoenix!

Cramming Iso for Lady Thor so that I can use the red cover I drew ; 268 now! had her at 250 & the last hike is long.

how much does it cost to level up at that point

around 80K to go from 250 to 270. plus 12500 to champion. it feels like a slog because the characters barely get any more power from the last 20.

thanks to Our Whale I bought a legendary token & drew...a Starlord. blah. have him at 4-3-2 or something silly like that now.

i really want that new 4* character not because he's good (i'm too tired to actually decide if he's good) but because he's a cute lil astroboy judge dredd dude and his dorky anime pose makes me smile

I asked about my 168 Thor and a guy on the forum said it's doable. I think you're supposed to hoard as much blue and red while also denying green and you can work it.

put my newly 271d lady Thor to good use, got it first try ohhhh yeah

I did it with 4/4/1, level 172, on my third try. Wait until he uses his blue before you use your red.

Yeah, I squeaked by. On the off chance that anyone will find this advice hopeful: it helps a lot if you have enough health to absorb a couple of Rags's red power or one of his green, and you're able to accumulate at least 20 red yourself. Let Rags use his blue (fed by his red!) so that he can help you fill the board with charged tiles. But also try to get blue so that you can stun/charge up tiles. I counted 14 charged tiles by the time my health got below 2000, and fortunately I had 22 red, Smoted twice which left him with about 300, and finished him off with a bunch of yellow I'd banked. Boosted red/yellow AP, blue/purple AP, and red/yellow 50% damage, because I was out of the all-color boosts.

Oh and I got two X-23s today, one from beating Rags, another from the Prodigal Sun event.

I drew two Miles Morales red yesterday, a 4 star Jean Gray blue, and one or maybe two red X-23s. I'd been shoveling all my iso into lady thor for 270 so I've got several 3 stars to champion now. & then I will begin finally leveling some of these 4 & 5 stars I've been accumulating!

I've championed all of my maxed 2*s so that I have a pipeline for getting to cards for my 3*s (I have 11 of them championed and 4 166s that I haven't championed yet because I haven't seen covers for them: Grocket, Luke, GSBW and CSpidey); right now my ISO priority is leveling 3*s that I have covers waiting on for championing (levelling CTorch now who I hope to max before one of his 2 covers expires, next will be either Daredevil or CStorm depending on how quickly I can grind ISO). I've also managed to get at least 1 cover for all the 5*s so I currently have a 0/1/1 Surfer, 1/2/0 Phoenix, 1/1/0 OML and 0/1/0 BIBSpidey.

BTW OML is a grossly unfair character; I have been using him on PVE and lower level PVP nodes because he just sucks up all the damage and then heals back to full if you don't transform him; even if you do, he usually has enough strike tiles out with his yellow that you can murder the other team before they can hurt you too badly and then you can heal back up to full in the next fight.

nice, I don't have OML yet. my surfer is 1-3-2 & my phoenix is 1-1-1. don't have the 5 star spidey yet.

OML is the perfect transitional tank IMO at 1/1/whatever because he does 5* match damage, tanks so many colors due to his tier, and will heal 657 per turn if everyone is alive AND you haven't leveled him at all

I played this morning with Doom + Lazy Cap + Phoenix & it was hilarious b/c my 5 in a rows were buffing Doom's fist tiles like nuts & we were doing like 2000+ damage per turn on those alone. a little like when Blade gets going really strongly. I haven't yet seen her resurrection power in action.

I'm kinda amazed at how, after two years, they've made this game really really fun again.

Her resurrection power is hilarious because you've often banked a ton of green by the time she comes back (unless you've spent it with another character) and she just chomps on everyone

actually Phoenix resurrection + OML transform = 2 characters with full team attacks with a stockpile of the color that triggers that attack (green for Phoenix, yellow for OML)

hahaha ok ok grass/greener, but damn I still only have a two-red Phoenix which is barely usable. (Well, as "barely" as you can get with a level 270 5* character.)

it's kind of hilarious how OP SS seemed on first introduction and especially in that intro board where you had access to all of his powers and then as each subsequent 5* has come out, it's been apparent that a low level SS just gives you hit points with no actual utility in a fight beyond the boosted match damage (which shouldn't be discounted entirely but pales when compared to the utility of OML's black+yellow or Phoenix's green)

yeah maybe but SS has a plump heal in blue, a mostly useless color otherwise, is immune to stun, and his black fucks with the board in a good way. He's very solid.

Heroic 10-pack results: 1 Yellow Beast (champ), 1 Green Human Torch (champy champ), 1 Green Hulk (champy champy champ), rest two stars for the mill.

I drew a yellow Kingpin, an extra Cmags, a few useless three stars that I sold b/c lol @ 166 them : Captain Marvel, Daredevil, Mohawk Storm, and then two stars. But a good draw on the large.

drew a Thing & and an Ant-Man on legendaries.

was gonna try to get the green Iron Fist in the Hunt but I hate the grind of pve so much, can't be regular enough to stay at the top. wish they'd switch away from these "competitive" pves to events like the Gauntlet, play at your own pace, win each battle just once. the other pves are such ass.

For me, I can tolerate PvEs is the point scaling is higher, so I have to do less missions. PvEs like the Hunt where you have to do so many missions for such small point values drive me crazy, I can do all the missions and not make the top 500. So I give up after the first day.

PVEs with survival nodes are the best. They give off a ton of points and they're easy with the right characters.

I've finally done it: my IM40 is at level 167 now. ;_;

I think all of my 166 & 13-covers are now champed/167d except for panther (and he's already champed, just waiting for card 14)... was hoping i'd have a cool 4* to start pumping iso into by now, but no dice. :( all those legendary tokens spread super thin (although now I think I have at least one of like 3/4 of the 4*, so that's something)

The Elektra challenge was easy with 3/5/2. I think I beat it the first time around too.

I'm now out of maxed 3*s to champion.

The new Quicksilver is kind of crazy -- use 5 black AP, get at least 3 black AP back, repeat. Goes well with Iron Fist too.
