those CPs got me a legendary though which got me a blue lady thor so now she's 5-3-4 for me, so close.

I've been doing really well with the holiday pvp but hit a wall where all it will put me up against is 290/290/290 or worse. Oh well, at least I got a couple of the CPs.

there's something called "champion" coming that might let you use duplicate covers. one of the devs suggested holding onto tokens in a podcast.

The 4*DDQ required character has finally looped back to the beginning with XF Wolverine. So I'll be getting some Legendary tokens again. (I didn't manage to quit MPQ, but now I'm just doing DDQ and sometimes PVP for command points.)

got the legendary on my 2nd try today & pulled a yellow Nick Fury, so I'm very happy; he's a monster, behind Jean Gray and Professor X and Hulkbuster, but in the next 4 star tier with Lady Thor and Xforce (imo).

there's a bug with his trap tiles that makes him very good. if the other team matches two or more at the same time, they all go off multiple times.

I've gotten smoked by him a bunch of times, I'm always like "that guy's only got 9k hp" or whatever & then they get that strike tile & I'm toast

I also got the Legendary on the second try today! Yay!

Good thing I haven't been spending my CP for the last couple of weeks. I wonder how will that 20CP token differ from the 25CP token? I'm guessing a narrower range of covers.

xp I'm thinking that these new tokens will have lower 5* drop rates.

They have to introduce a streak buster.. I threw thousands in the game lately, going from buyers club to buyers clubs with no result.. Im on a 70 lt pulles without a 5* usable (i had a dupe ss though) while i saw others keep getting 5* after 5* with a tenth of what i drew .. They must guarantee a 5* every 20 token (thats still a 5% odd, half of what they advertise).. Like that you know your efforts and your money are not worthless like now.. The frustration is at an all time high everywhere and i cant count the number of high end players ready to leave because of that.. Once again letting rng decides end game is absurd..

After I read that, my first thought was "if I was in charge of this game, I would reduce the drop rate on 5-stars and increase the drop rate on Star Lord and Mr Fantastic"

In the current PvE, both Colossus and IM40 are buffed. This means I have started prioritizing black and using IM40 as the target of Fastball Special, which gives me free Recharges and allows me to dump AP before getting a virtually free Unibeam or Ballistic Salvo. It's kind of hilarious.

that sounds like fun; I don't ever use colossus in pvp b/c fastball special is too slow there but it'd be perfect in pve. I only have mine at 120 unbuffed but that oughta be enough

problem is with pve right now is that the prizes aren't compelling enough. I can't grind enough to get the legendary token---I don't think? it seems totally unreachable every time. & o/w I don't need many 3 star covers anymore. so the only goal for me would be the legendary token.

I'm primarily playing PvE for the command points nodes and to grind ISO so I can level characters; also it's just less stressful because no one is going to sneak up behind you when you aren't shielded and gank your progress.

yeah I gotta get some of those command point, though the alliance has been pretty good for that lately!

yeah, lovin the random whale action for CP. still wondering who was crazy enough to throw down ~$100 around Christmas for the 7CP
unfortunately it's a lot harder to get those CP if you don't have the required 4* for the PVEs. this time it's The Thing which I don't have.
just as well, i'm a little burnt out after going full steam in December, i'm doing the minimum at the moment

I did minimum for a couple of seasons, I got the 10 pack this season for the first time in a while.
waiting to open it until the "champions mode" or whatever is added, gonna be a bunch of two stars anyway.
that article posted yesterday said that they're done with new 2 and 3 stars, not sure what I think about that, since my 4 star collection sucks au moment

i guess it's inevitable for this kind of game. there has to be an infinite supply of incentives, power bloat to keep people hooked

It would have been interesting if, instead of making the lazy versions of character into distinct characters that take up roster space, you could "evolve" your 1 and 2 star characters into their 3/4/5 star versions Pokemon-style

that would be awesome. maybe the champions thing will be a little like that?

i think it will be, like "prestiging" your cards. i expect the cost will get exponentially high, like you need 50 covers or something to boost up another level. or, there will be a cap on how much you can prestige, like the 2*s can only go up to Level 166 or something
