yeah it's basically a zen exercise; play game, get ISO and hero points, spend them in game, repeat

Avoid putting actual money into the game for as long as you can and hoard your hero points for slots for new covers. The daily awards will help you fill out your roster and give occasional boosts of resources that will help you make your roster stronger.

I'm having computer problems and might miss a few more days.

In other news, I finished covering my Falcon at 5/5/3 earlier this week, and I pulled a purple Scarlet Witch from a standard token today.

My XF Wolverine is finally at level 270. 19 maxed 3*s. sigh.

Sell Yelena and Venom whenever you want. Once you start maxing 2*s you can toss every 1* except Juggernaut.

i've been doing deadpool daily w/ 2, i presume you can probably do it w/ 1 as well!

I knock over the 1* node with Juggernaut alone, easily.

I played a little on release, but then found myself hiding in the toilet, lying to my then-girlfriend about what I was doing etc etc so I stopped.

I took it up again about three months ago as a brain-deadener in the run-up to our wedding. Worked very effectively.

I'm back to toilet/lying, but I'm too invested now.

I sold yelena and venom.

If I was a dev on this, I'd be tempted to make Bagman and Yelena overpowered just to reward everyone who held onto them for no rational reason

even in balance of power those two are ass

it'd take like ten minutes to get a full yelena for most people anyway. make it bagman so at least there's a little resistance

the effort it takes to win those 4*s in the introductory PvEs is maddening - you gotta put in several hours of play each day for like 10 or more days straight. can't always manage to do it, and sometimes you're better off just hoping you'll get one from a gold token

I have cover maxed a bunch of characters and need to figure out my ISO priorities. So far I have maxed out the following ***s:

Steve Rogers
Falcon
IM40
Classic Mags
Classic Spidey
Hood

I have full covers for:

Hulk (153)
GSBW (143)
Loki (141)
Psylocke (135)
Colossus (121)
Beast (69) (lol)

I've been leveling Psylocke because as a buffed character she is super silly, especially when paired with Falcon; should I keep leveling her when the Jean Grey event starts or should I go back to boosting Loki?

Beast is an awesome third teammate for the classic Loki/Patch combo btw since he covers blue and yellow well

Feel like Hulk and GSBW are better bets since they're more useful all-around; especially since you already have maxed Spidey, GSBW complements him very well. Shame they added that 30AP limit because before that you could just store up multiple Sniper Shots...

Hulk does well on any team that doesn't rely on strike/defense tiles. You won't regret lvling him or Psylocke as blue chippers

my lol was entirely for 69, not Beast himself

Some of the more hardcore players like to pair Hulk with Patch so that BR's enemy tiles will help trigger Anger, leading to (potentially) heavy cascades.

Hulk is easy to down though with a big hitter like Cage or Cyclops or Mystique or X-Force. 1/20th of the time I'll fuck up and he'll get me way down but he's a softie that I regret 166ing

I didn't appreciate how ridiculous Cage's uppercut is until his recent event; even unbuffed, that thing is monstrous if you can unleash it with a full team standing (as soon as I max out Cage and Iron Fist, I'm trying a Cage/Fist/Falcon team to see how viable it is)

i would guess very much so
i'm running falcon @140 (3/3/5), torch classic (same), classic mag @153 (5/5/3); it's good for several bouts at a go without healing

remember when they nerfed Classic Mags and people wailed "oh no, he will be unusable" even though he still is capable of stringing together an indefinite number of painful cascades and wiping out an entire opposing team by himself

CMags/Loki/Falcon sometimes goes horribly, spectacularly wrong but when it works, I think I take a total of 1K damage across all three characters during a match

Admittedly Hulk was a lot better before they nerfed Anger - it used to trigger a tile for EVERY 5% damage, now it's just one tile per hit, and it hurts your team if you trigger matches - but he's still got great HP, generates green and damages well

loki/falcon's collective lack of an offensive special leaves me a little leery of playing them that way; when i do that and mags gets croaked accidentally, i generally have to abandon the game or dig in for a fifteen minute matchfest. with my team, torch takes care of the black / green offense, mags does red/black offense and yellow defense, falcon handles purple / yellow defense; if i can get off a yellow or purple special, whatever damage i get is generally in the first seven matches.

I found CMags a little on the lackluster side until I 166'd him at 5/4/4 and started pairing him with Loki. The combined red/blue/purple cascades tend to refill red/blue/purple, allowing you to fire off another cascade instantly, plus each blue can do up to 3K dmg before the cascade starts and, with proper teamup tile management, you can average 2-3K dmg on each red. At least 2 matches out of every 3 with this lineup, I hit a neverending string of cascades that let me down at least one character (and often the entire team) before the enemy can get off a special. It's even better in gauntlets where you can bank colors against NPCs and then enter waves with characters that do active matches with ~20 blue/red/purple and just rofflestomp on your first move.

Daken/Patch still my staple team, with Daredevil, Mystique, or Falcon as the third. LOLzy thing with Mystique is that her purple/black combo can already do 7K damage on its own -- if I cast BR first and then have her do her thing, that's a one-hit on mostly anyone, plus a two-turn stun.

Cmags goes well with other board shakers, especially Loki.
