for extra fun, sub out Spidey for Falcon when he gets high enough; then every yellow match makes you more invincible

i guess the upside of spidey is for immediate shielding so you don't get dinged up early on but yeah, that'll work too.
my falcon is 117 3/1/5; i need like two more covers and then he goes into heavy rotation

especially against henchmen who don't make active matches, Falcon/Classic Magneto is a ridiculous combo because you can trigger Mag's yellow and then Falcon will sit there and buff the resulting protect tiles with every yellow match you make until you have enough to throw more protect tiles out; I think I had one game where I had at least one 700+ protect tile on the board

I'm still going to rep Hulk/IM40/Cap, because the only time I came close to losing with that combo was because of stupid/incorrect swiping. Strategy: rush yellow/red/blue so that you'll be able to overwrite the countdown tiles, use Hulk to tank hits and generate green, and once you're in the non-goon waves, HULK SMASH 1-3 times to bring down the other team's health, deploy IM40's yellow and hit them with his blue once then red twice, rinse and repeat for the next two waves.

Oh and I'm still using my 2* Cap, since he and not the 3* version has the requisite 3/5/5 build for that strategy.

When I don't feel like the slog of Hulk/IM40/Cap, though, I'll go with Patch/Daken/Falcon, but the way I play Patch can be a little too exciting sometimes.

That team would step on each other's toes, though, esp. Loki/DD, because DD actually clears enemy special tiles. You could sub in Squirrel Girl, who does damage but doesn't remove the special tiles. xp

I want to 166 Squirrel Girl so bad but I don't quite have the covers. She's humiliating and badass.

Is there any reason for me to add new **'s that I don't have yet? Most of my ***'s are in the 94-130 range now. I don't have any *'s.

IMO it's worth having 2-3 *s for that one Deadpool node so you can get the bonus ISO for clearing everything

*'s are so expensive to upgrade tho

I think of the 2*s, only OBW and Thor are the super-vital ones. Storm and Magneto work well together (not as good as they used to be, of course), too.

You should have Juggernaut at least for the Deadpool 1* node.

Juggernaut at level 20 can beat the daily 1* node by himself.

Is it worth hanging on to maxed 2-stars that you don't use for the Deadpool node (i.e. in case they show up as required characters in a PVE)?

I love to wreck higher leveled teams in Simulator with my 166 Patch, 140-ish Loki and 130-ish Beast. Too many 3*s on the roster to max out...

Still stand by never ever deleting characters for roster space, even the crappy 1*s

just get covers and levels, you just get better at it. and hit the roster slot paywall p quickly iirc

yeah it's basically a zen exercise; play game, get ISO and hero points, spend them in game, repeat

Avoid putting actual money into the game for as long as you can and hoard your hero points for slots for new covers. The daily awards will help you fill out your roster and give occasional boosts of resources that will help you make your roster stronger.

I'm having computer problems and might miss a few more days.

In other news, I finished covering my Falcon at 5/5/3 earlier this week, and I pulled a purple Scarlet Witch from a standard token today.

My XF Wolverine is finally at level 270. 19 maxed 3*s. sigh.

Sell Yelena and Venom whenever you want. Once you start maxing 2*s you can toss every 1* except Juggernaut.
