x-force wolvie is worth leveling at that point, i think, but you gotta get him over lvl 125-ish before you start seeing results

I have a level 152 1/2/4 XF Wolvie and he sucks.

yeah you're right - i just checked the wiki and there are huge improvements at lvl 5 for both
that's what I get for going by my gut

didn't realize lvl 5 black gives you AP also!

I have a 188 Wolvie at 2/4/3 and he's basically the cornerstone of my team between his healing and his ability to clear the board; cannot WAIT for 5/5/3

Right now my default team is 188 X-Force, 166 IM40, 153 Classic Spider-Man and I can steamroll almost anyone aside from lvl 270 super-buffed nonsense and there I just need to start with the right boosts (basically use Spidey to freeze the most dangerous character and IM40 as a Spidey battery/red nuke and X-Force to reset the board/black nuke)

yeah the ap steal with black is hilarious; maxed hulks become a joke because you save them until last, have enough black for a surgical strike, take them down a bunch but also get enough green to follow it immediately with an xforce. he's downed in one turn from full.

Bought 3- and 8-hour shields, just to get a green Loki. Time for a break dammit.

Think I've finally lost interest in this. Too hard keeping up with the myriad new ***-star characters as a casual player, while my existing roster languishes without new covers since drop rates are so low.

Mostly, though, it's just that the core match mechanic isn't that fun anymore. With the game as grindy as it is, all those character animations and loading screens make each match into a real drag. I wish there were an option to turn them off.

Loki's green passive is pretty great.

yeah, those loading screens have often been enough to turn me off the game for a while. portable games like this shouldn't have loading times imo

top fifty in the season! I get a ten pack for that.

got my Loki to 5-5-3; 3-5-5 the killer build now though. he's my current ISO project.

Got a green Loki from the tourney, and Red Lady Thor from a Heroic Token from the season ending, good weekend

pulled a black Cage from my ten pack, nothing else useful. still, have my Loki up to 110ish already.

Is it worth it to respec 2* Daken to 5 blue?

I have mine 4/4/5, and I really like it. I get big damage (up to 2K+) with blue, and while I'm prone to the health penalty a little more often now, it's rarely a problem.

PS got a Yellow Patch which brings him to 5/4/4, 166'ed my second d00d!

Yeah with 2* daken. I have 3-5-5 lazy Daken and I want 5-5-3 but with 2* Daken no more 2 tiles at 5

I have literally just started this and then read this thread (well, without clicking on "show 3807 hidden posts") - could someone reassure me that if I DGAF about PVP then I'll run out of stuff to do quite quickly?

I'd just do the PVE stuff until you have some decent ** guys, but eventually you want to do PVP because the rewards are worth it. Also the gameplay isn't any different.

There are PVE events as well beyond the 5 prologue chapters. Don't worry, this game has a pernicious ability to reward you for mindless grinding.

And they re-run the old PVE events constantly. I don't think we've gone without a PVE event running for months now

BTW - for all PVP events, including Lightning Rounds - they throw up some cheap dummy AI opponents to beat up on with lvl 1 characters (you'll figure out which handles these are quickly) - you might as well grind some of those for the iso and rewards

But like poly said, the gameplay is almost exactly the same anyway, just without the ridiculously cheesy story and dialogue

I guess it's working, in that when I stopped on my cycle home a few times, I thought "Hey I could check and see if they're healed" - and then remembered that actually that wouldn't be happening because I had played through the 20% battery warning and the 10% battery warning, standing there beside my bike in the cold parking garage.

those 12-hour PVE cycles are too much for me

I've missed the 8 hour refreshes a couple of times but I'm still floating around the 100 mark

got a Star Lord yesterday on a pve token. sold my 2 star daken & thor to make room

This PVE has left me with like 5 100+ Onslaught team-ups.

4/1/4 4verine after a lovely green pull -- ugh give me 5 in ~something~ so I can start using this guy.

Only one 3* cover in my ten-pack, but it was the Luke Cage protect tile one so I'm OK with it.

Was the Daily Deadpool reward the same for everybody? Wasn't too tough for me to grab a Black Panther.
