― JimD, Saturday, 7 February 2015 12:51 (eleven years ago)
Valkyria Chronicles I is half-off, so I grabbed that. I dig the HD remake, since I'm not going to play this on the PS3, and you can jack it up to 1080p and play the game with a XB1 controller.
Game v. much looks like what would have happened if WWII broken out in Miyazaki's Alt-Europe, like we're seeing the war stories of all the parents of Studio Ghibli principles a generation before the films are set.
― Delbert Gravy (kingfish), Monday, 9 February 2015 05:45 (eleven years ago)
all of the wargames are bundled on steam for like $13. i'm sure i've asked this before -- anyone have experience w/ them? worth getting?
― Mordy, Tuesday, 10 February 2015 21:29 (eleven years ago)
i feel like once i can beat the 3rd tutorial level for airland battle i'll be prepared to lead a real army
― Mordy, Thursday, 12 February 2015 02:50 (eleven years ago)
it has been a while since humble bundle had a bundle i really wanted:long live the queen, analogue: a hate story, go go nippon - beat the average for world end economica, hate plus, roommates deluxe, and hateful boyfriend at 8$ mark - all of them mac compatible except nippon

Me and half the internet are very pissy about the nintendo humble bundle being region locked, but it's still worth jumping on if you're in the US and have a Wii U and/or 3ds.
― JimD, Thursday, 28 May 2015 11:36 (eleven years ago)
I rarely bothered to redeem my Desura keys in bundles anymore...http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/245334/Desuras_parent_company_has_filed_for_bankruptcy.php
― Nhex, Friday, 5 June 2015 23:06 (eleven years ago)
Steam summer sale starts on the 11th thru 22ndworth noting that there is a PC press conference at E3 on the 16th, interested to see if Valve have any sort of tie in with it
― ( X '____' )/ (zappi), Monday, 8 June 2015 17:30 (eleven years ago)

oh its some cookie clicker bullshit, fuck that
― ( X '____' )/ (zappi), Thursday, 11 June 2015 17:44 (eleven years ago)
so if something is a daily deal is there a chance it might be discounted further?
― Mordy, Thursday, 11 June 2015 17:52 (eleven years ago)
unless there is a glitch very unlikely, lowest prices tend to come in daily deals/flash sales.
― ( X '____' )/ (zappi), Thursday, 11 June 2015 17:55 (eleven years ago)
stuff that looks interesting to me (and is mac compatible):
Pandora: First Contact - $9.89 (-67%)Ziggurat - $4.49 (-70%)Grant Theft Auto San Andreas - $3.74 (-75%)Darkest Dungeon - $14.99 (-25%)Outlast - $3.99 (-80%)
except for GTA:SA and DD i haven't tried any of these other games. can anyone recommend?
― Mordy, Thursday, 11 June 2015 18:09 (eleven years ago)
i liked outlast - depends on your fondess for survival horror and/or fps tho i guess. for four bucks i'd say it's definitely worth a shot
― bizarro gazzara, Thursday, 11 June 2015 18:12 (eleven years ago)
Hotline Miami 2 only 33% off... eh maybe I'll get it anyway. Seems like nobody played it
― Nhex, Friday, 12 June 2015 04:27 (eleven years ago)
nothing on my wishlist has a great sale price. shovel knight $2 off -- hold me.gog.com has some decent deals. I bought Valdis Story and Apotheon, both of which look like metroidvanias.
― aaaaablnnn (abanana), Friday, 12 June 2015 07:09 (eleven years ago)
considering:
Wasteland 2 - $19.99 (-50%)This War of Mine - $7.99 (-60%)Crypt of the NecroDancer - $7.49 (-50%)
did anyone end up playing W2 and is it good?
― Mordy, Friday, 12 June 2015 17:14 (eleven years ago)
I hear some of these $3 games are good but are they CUP OF COFFEE GOOD?
― calstars, Saturday, 13 June 2015 00:34 (eleven years ago)
ok fair enough but $20 is one expensive cup of coffee
― Mordy, Saturday, 13 June 2015 00:55 (eleven years ago)
On the other end of the scale, there's a load of <$1 games with trading cards which I will probably grab *shrug*
― Nhex, Saturday, 13 June 2015 03:03 (eleven years ago)
my findings so far - darkest dungeon + wasteland 2 are both knockouts. this war of mine looks promising but seems to lack a tutorial and i need to take some time to dig around in it and see how it works. outlast, or at least the first 18 minutes i've played so far, it legit scary. crypt of the necrodancer is kinda goofy but i can see how it'll be fun once i figure out how to get it to play my music library.
― Mordy, Saturday, 13 June 2015 11:45 (eleven years ago)
Bought Hunie Pop because. These Steam sale discounts get more disappointing every time. The key market/resellers usually give you steeper discounts throughout the year, especially Green Man Gaming. But this is probably inevitable as your hoard grows to inhuman levels.I might get Pixel Heroes: Byte and Magic just because they did (strangely trendy) goofy throwback videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gP5pCI1SmuI
― Nhex, Saturday, 13 June 2015 17:10 (eleven years ago)
idk if i can keep buying games but if i had an unlimited budget and unlimited time on this earth to play video games, i'd probably pick up:
Sunless Sea: $11.39 (-40%)Prison Architect: $4.49 (-85%)Broforce: $9.99 (-33%)Rocksmith 2014: $26.99 (-55%)Gods Will Be Watching: $2.49 (-75%)
