I went to quakecon, basically id software central, twice back in my fps-loving nerdo days (1995-2003ish rip). There was def a booth babe style thing going on and not a lot of outright misogyny I encountered because there were just so few women there. There was a prominent clan (that being the beginning days of gaming "clans") that was all-woman and playing on their gaming server was super fun but I think all the original members ditched out eventually.
