four three star covers so far today! my hunt token this morning got me a Doom black; I got two GSBW (green & purple) from the Pun tourney; and just got a Torch red on my daily reward heroic draw

got a bunch of ISO 8 too from all the events & have my Pun up to 109/115 now; figure the benefit of having high level three stars outweighs spreading it out to other chars (like GSBW) who are presently buffed. I did not get attacked nearly as much during the Pun tourney as I've been in recent past, & I guess that's because I'm running with two three-stars over level 100. certainly I skip those! (though with my 5 blue Spidey maybe I shouldn't; it's just that playing with five blue Spidey is kinda slow & tedious)

pulled top 10 in big pun, barely, so now my gsbw is respecced to 4/4/5. a fifth green and i'm set.

the new "season 1" thing on top of the hunt just going on and on is too much _stuff_. part of me wants to take a break, but i'm hooked

How are you guys going to approach 'season one' strategically?

I don't know - I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed right now with all the options - 5 more days of The Hunt, the GSBW tourney, Villain lightning round, Season 1 SHIELD...

I mostly skip villain lightning rounds b/c I don't have a high leveled three star villain. My GSBW has a current level cap of 53 & she's only getting a 14 level boost in that tourney so I'm not gonna be able to compete for a top rank; maybe I'll try to get top 50 & make progress in Season 1. I'm gonna keep rocking the Hunt b/c I'm currently in position to get one Falcon cover, and because I score a lot of ISO-8 in that tourney. not sure about SHIELD yet.

I don't understand this season stuff.

I'm constantly on the edge of #100 position in The Hunt (for one Falcon card) so I guess I'll keep shooting for that, but it's exhausting keeping up with that event alone. My GSBW is power-maxed and at Lvl 119 it would be a chump move NOT to get in on that tourney, but.. eh do I really care about Fat Thor? Not really, but obviously this means the next tourney will feature him so... IT'S ALL A TRAP DAMN IT

This would be an opportune time to finally land an elusive Fat Thor, but that'd involve me not using OBW. I may finally max out my C Storm in that case! Though any real MPQing will have to wait for Thursday on my part.

I'm cool with slowly acquiring three star covers & doing better & better in featured tourneys. this just isn't one for me alas.

the hunt is great for steady HP accumulation too.

i use lrs to occasionally tank and thats it.

the only great reward from season 1 is top 100 alliances only and i figure that's a write off for us, so i'll play it like normal events i think and ignore the meta-grind.

LRs are impossible for me. I just get the first two progression rewards, then ignore them.

we *could* be one of the top 100 alliances but I guess we aren't all super dedicated to this so alas. but I'm happy to get getting the lesser rewards too.

how often do you guys dump / let expire cards not already in your roster? i have four 3*s in the hopper and they expire in 4-6 days each. getting a little nervous.

I sell all 1 stars I don't already have (i.e. Belena Hawkeye and Venom). otherwise I haven't sold a card I can't use since maybe my second week playing. but that was a long time ago now & with all the three stars there are now I guess newbies have to do this pretty often.

I sold ModHawk today so I could accept my first GSBW and stay on course to add an Alliance slot soon (although Falcon will put a wrinkle in that if I win one).

Keep all 3s and 4s. Sell everything else.

I have steve rogers, ddevil, and rags waiting for spots. right now i'm thinking moonstone is the first to go, followed by mag now / mod hawkeye / bullseye / A wolv

yeah... no bags in my lineup. for shame.

Unlike you Baggalos, I sold my two covers in favor of the Moonstone that I keep expecting to be buffed in an upcoming event.

xp none of those three with the possible exception of Steven is particularly awesome, though they're good to have when they're required in a PVE. If you've got a 2* lineup, then the first to go are would be 1* suckers unless you really really want to to the occasional 1* events. KEEP A WOLVIE.

Like Euler said... unfortunately, there seems to be enough powerhouse Alliances now with 20 strong that getting into Top 100 for the Nick Fury card is pretty much impossible for us

3*s are rare enough that you should never sell them now; 1* and 2* cards you'll max out very easily over time, so feel free to sell them for now until you have enough slots

yodarman, your cut order sounds about right, though I'd drop Bullseye after Moonstone, he's so rarely used

I'd hold onto Magnow -- he goes well with CStorm. The other 2*ers you mention are sellable (Wolvie is OK, but outclassed by Ares and Thor).

I've found no use for Rags at all. Like Leee, I hope Moonstone will be useful one day (actually, she can be good if you get really lucky with the team against you - the switch bad for good power can be good against Daken ifbyou have evough black but nothing spawns it except Doomie (?) and his black is good enough as is).

Raced to 500 points in the GSBW comp while people are still trying to decide tactics - will push it until the Daken cover then grind Hunt tostay in the Falcon covers.

good to know i'm heading in the right direction. i would really like to ditch my 1* iron man and mod storm, but i need a couple more covers for thor and c storm before i can do that

Keep Mod Storm! She's actually more useful fighting countdown goons than C Storm is, IMO.

ModStorm can get wiped out by a team-wide attack but, when paired with stronger characters, can lurk in the background wreaking havoc on the opposing team until that happens; also IME she's the character easiest to get a cascade cycle going with post Thor-nerf.

I have found that from facing a maxed ModStorm/OBW combo enough to skip ghem every time now.

aldo: M Storm is buttsy on defense, though! Just make sure to kill her first, then OBW, then whoever.

Tried that; OBW ends up getting lucky with colour drops and anti-grav until ModStorm gets into an env clear/hailstorm combo ghat never seems to end. Easier to burn the iso. I don't always skip, but always consider it first.

OBW has shredded me so many times. I hate her.

Will, the Doom thing was a data entry error, but for Jugs, do you mean the "To Next Level" ISO amount? 100 is too much, right?

Looking at the "to current max" thing, none of the two-ability characters appear to have a "current max level" or associated iso value. if jug is 3/5 covers, his max shouldn't be 1.

I'm not seeing that in my offline sheet; maybe a (read-only?) Google Docs issue?

btw to whoever kinda groused about "if everybody in this alliance would just play harder, we could be a top 100 team", i have TOTALLY had that thought and then gone three days barely playing and felt this immense pull between feeling like horrible enabling supernerd but at the same time WANTING MY COVERS so i feel your pain.

The more enticing Season 1 progression rewards are reachable, no? Or is that going to run into the same issue that SHIELD Vs. has (where you just can't get past a certain number of points)?
