not using OBW in the last tourney meant i was using IM40's blue ability (and magnow + recharge to get 20 blue gems fast)... damn dude, level 5 im40 blue is an absolute beast. made me look at my level 128 guy as more than an anti-gravy device battery.

This two star into three star slog is painful and sadly kinda boring. i think the d3 team made a mistake in having to create every new wave of characters as three stars... what's the point? don't we need some more one star jobbers?

i'm looking for an ares, spidey, doom, punisher or hulk card to build off of; can't seem to score any of these.

obv the solution to more ares cards is to suck harder at virtually every tournament lately (i feel like it's been the consolation prize in so many tourneys?)

yeah but a RED ares cover...

maxed ares is totally decent, especially as part of a roster with a lot of other top chars, since he can win battles quickly but soaks damage b/c of pumping green & taking the occasional yellow hit b/c of countdown loss

ares is crucial in divine champions tourneys where he's my preferred third, or can round out a maxed ares/thor/cstorm roster. otherwise not so much. great on defense there especially.

^this is why i'm seriously considering taking a currently level 30 two star character up to 85

I read a comment on the mpq board that suggested that it can be helpful to have team members that are fully powered up but not at all leveled up... i.e. they are level 15 and yet they're 5/5/3, with the idea being that dumb pvp opponents will see a low ranked player and then get slaughtered by them. Do you guys do this?

I picked a good week to take a break.

I have 4 eligible heroes -AstWolv, torchy the battery boy, BP and Psylocke. Just completed the basic mode using only 1 restore, 1/5 of the way to the first decent reward. Feels like too kuch effort but what else am I gunna do?

I feel like I should max out modern storm or something.

Or hawkeye, I guess if I want to do a 2 star.

flew cross country today & my flight had wifi but it was like $14 & I thought about buying it so that I could play MPQ the whole time but if I'm gonna spend money on the game I'd rather just get a bunch of hero points, and that ain't gonna happen

so I worked instead.

Black Panther + mod Storm works pretty well in this event, but then I'm only using Human Torch as a meatshield.

leveled my psymops over 100 now for the heroic event. still pretty meh. burned some iso on moonstone for the pvp as well. in retrospect probably shoulda taken my panther up past 40 instead. all the prizes are still stupid fatcaps so dunno why i'm bothering. on the other hand, pulled a green rags from the pvp token, and a red one from the last tourney so now i'm at 5/2 which is semi-usable if i bothered.

scorch's green is fun to play, but paired with psy i always take her red and black over his. bags is actually useful in the goon fights for some meh countdown management since my better alternatives are all disallowed.
