Shielding for 8 hours at 591 / #4! Hoping to get that GSBW.

I'm #4 in my Human Torch bracket; can't get traction in the PvP this time either. I get ~so~ tired of fighting OBW every time, even though I use her a bunch too

Been spreading my time out poorly between the Captain America and Iso-8 missions, doing sub-par in both. I don't think I'll even make Top 50 in my Cap bracket, and I'll be lucky to make Top 150 in Iso-8. Maybe next time I'll try to focus on one event..

Well, at least there's a day left in Iso-8 to try to catch up, actually

I want the ares covers so I'm not trying that hard.

I AM DISAPPOINT. I'm #9 in ISO, #8 (and presumably falling) in PVP.

would have liked that green to respec my bw, but looks like i fell to twelve. blah. shouldn't have wasted hp on that shield. folks are sitting above me at ~700 with no shields and not getting ripped to shreds. all top end ** teams must be why, while i'm midrange ***.

on the plus side, pulled a fat cap, bringing me to 1/2/2, level 41, and doing well in the torch event.

Wow, I was #19 with three hours to go when I went to bed. Woke up with an Ares card. :-/

i'm bummed but honestly I needed the Ares card more

I was NUMBER ONE when I fell asleep and dropped to one fireman card. FUCK that :(

2 torches from top 50, 1 torch from the alliance

I had to play CONSTANTLY for the last two hours to stay there, though. with 15 minutes left two of the battles that had dropped to 1 point went up into the 200s again, and bashing through those until the timer ended kept me in position.

don't like that tourney; prefer the ones with more nodes & higher points, b/c needling through the same battles again & again for 40 points is a drag

Not much change. Patch+Lazy Thor+OBW is a great team.

My IM Model 40 with 3 yellow covers goes well with my kinda crappy Gray Suit, because the green he pumps takes her a good way toward a sniper shot

Bottom right in the BW tourney is desert, finding Daken/CStorm a brutal combo. Once you get either CStorm green or environment tiles they more or less feed each other till you win, as strike tiles get added every trigger.

i've been rolling with spidey/magnow/greybw; three purple matches gives you two protect tiles and then you set off mags blue matches. build yellow until you can stunlock and it's generally game over. or everyone dies. Boy, it's slow and unfun to play that way tho'.

Seems like overkill to throw in GSBW w/Mag.Now, with the overlapping purple tile change powers, I'd swap one of them out for a strong green or black character if you have one

sniper shot is amazing, though; cascades galore! I like these focused PvP tourneys, even if I kinda suck at them, because they force to me learn a new character (and to lust after more covers for them)

the magnow is mostly there to charge spidey's lock. gotta have a healer.

I get it - it's a really good combo, but if you're going with GSBW, I say go more offensive and stick with Spidey's webless regular heal, back it up with Punisher or someone else with a good off-color attack power. Or, trade out GSBW for the same reason, but with a good green attack power, like Patch, A.Wolvie, Punisher, etc.

I just tried the Daken-CStorm combo in the bottom right & hoo boy that is effective

So is Model 40 - Spidey, in either of the other two. & I love the ~prestige feeling~ of running with an all three star team

For this reason, I like to play against teams with OBW/CStorm.

I usually win against those two but when I don't, everyone's dead

A computer controlled OBW is usually real easy to take out.

If OBW is with Storm of either colour I hit Stom first. AI 1* Storm is harder than AI CStorm imo, it always seems to get her in an env strike/hailstorm loop.

i just realized i have more covers (8) for GSBW than any other three star but IM40... i may need to build her up next.

heroic venom will be the next iso boosting event; are they never gonna actually program new paths?

There are 3 GSBW cards if you plow through all the progression awards of SHIELD training. Does anyone even do SHIELD training anymore?

D3 forums say that it's impossible to reach the higher levels being the points per match dry up, and that 1400 is the effective max you can reach.

I actually dipped back into it last week, with some half-baked notion of getting some needed Wolvie and Thor covers.

I got beat in SHIELD training the other day (passive AI loss) so someone is still playing it
