I've got 67 standard tokens. tempted to wait to 100, pop them all and see how many 3*/4*s i get.

I only have Storm/Widow/Iron Man/Hawkeye

if those 4 are the choice, then Hawkeye. I think he's definitely the worst of those 4, and the thing about 1* guys is that you can get a shit-ton of 1* tokens in this game so it should be relatively easy to get him back again if you ever wanted to (although you'd lose any leveling you've put into him).

On the other hand, Loki does seem to suck (although I don't have him).

You could also sell off a lame 2* - I ended up selling off my precious 4-cover Bagman, I've also sold off Bullseye like 3 times now.

Ok so yeah, I'd say either Hawkeye or Bullseye (or Ares who seems kinda lame to me, but I've never had him)

I also have three *** cards waiting for a slot as well... Hood, Daredevil and ... something else, can't remember.

My only two-card *** is a Hulk, and I also have a two-yellow **** wolvie

I would sell ** Bullseye except that he's buffed in the current simulation thing and that has made him pretty useful atm

Ares is really good, do not sell him. Super-powerful green and yellow attacks.
With a level 52 Thor you can easily toss IM35 or Hawkeye.

Agree w/ the Hawk/Bullseye advice, they should be the first ones to be trimmed from your roster when you need a slot. For now, go ahead and get rid of Hawkeye; once the PVE is over, Bullseye will be expendable.

People seem to be down on DD -- I haven't used him extensively -- but the Hood apparently has some utility.

Ares is terrific. A bit suicidal but more useful than that fucker Juggsy, at least at the levels they'll let us use him.

I cannot beat Jugs/Fat Thor/moonstone on the harder simulator. No matter what team I put out there or how much I boost.

I find the Hard ladder missions to be nearly impossible after Day 1, not counting the special character require missions that have less scaling (like right now the BP missions)

2* Wolvie and Thor are still good blue chippers IMO, all around good and often buffed in tourneys, max them out** though maybe look into the scaling effects; I think the tourney scaling depends entirely on your #1 character lvl

Sell whatever 1* you have put the least iso into; you'll get so many more cards of them via tokens. Even Bullseye at 2* is a lot rarer in comparison

Hood really needs that Blue power to be good, the other powers are meh
I still really like the gameplay style of DD, but a) I need a blue cover and b) you have to change your game to force the AI to make environment matches or specific color matches, opposite of normal play

We're just outside the top 100 in the sim, bros; but I had to miss most of yesterday & today because of RL such bullshit but I hope to get us back on track.

shitty thing is when you miss a day you basically are consigned to be like 10/20/50 spots down for the rest of the tourney, it's impossible to catch up

but you can at least still place well in the subevents

Finally beat jug/Thor/moon, and the next one. But now I've got patch, doom, punisher in the 1000 ISO match.

Ha, beat them on the 1st try. OBW/Magsnow/Thor. Buff +3 blue/purple, +3 red/yellow, +3 all colors. Go for purple, magsnow, get criticals, eventually set off a chain of Thor's yellow then green, heal when necessary from all the blue you get from Mags purple. Save your red and one shot kill whoever is left with Mags red.

BUT OMG THE SCALING, some of the fights on the Hard ladder are 200+ now. at least there's only one more round to go

Hey, apparently you can gain points while shielded, if someone loses to you. Crazy!

Oh wait, I don't I got those points. *shrug*

gah lost my a-team (patch & spidey) and out of heals. b-team of ares and mags + panther can still clean up ok in at least some of the subs before they end.

top 10 was really competitive in my bracket. i locked in at 710 and just barely made it in.

also got psylocke and daredevil covers from the event token winnings, woo.

I don't know why I find Devil Dinosaur eating a hot dog as funny as I do.

Really want those Panther choppers in the Hood tourney... I keep reading that I should wait to the end before playing to improve my bracket placement?

wait a while to join, at least (certainly a few hours). one evil trick is wait until the time left is 23 hours, or 1 day and 23 hours, or etc.

the principle is you'll be most likely to be bracketed with people who start playing typically at the wrong time, and hence who will not be playing near the close of the tourney, turning down competition.

i don't like to wait too close to the end -- some people do ok with that, but you need a speedy team because it then takes on a bit of a race quality. i'd rather build up a baseline set of points, then do another push at the end. especially so when there's the HP at 500 because i don't want to miss that.

Unfortunately no HP at 500 and only Red MagNow at 600. :-(

I'm of the belief that if you play right at the start you get pretty easy fights up to about 200 points and then you can grind to the card at 300 without too much trouble and a bit of skipping. Although really I just play when I get time to, and the weekends are the best run I get at it so it's just coincidence. #1 in Hood at just 452 points.

Do you eat the ISO tax in PVP when you keep having to skip teams because their scores are lower than yours?

Sure. It's pennies.

I'm tempted to start playing anyone that's got 20+ points now that I'm over 500 and "proper" opponents are getting sparser.

popped up a shield at 556, no 3. alliance at 109. unless we have some other people making a last minute run, we prob won't catch that last panther. in which case i'll be at 3/3/4, which isn't too shoddy regardless.

After my shield expired, lost almost 200 points in 45 minutes aka dinner, tried to make up in the last 45 minutes, god what a feeding frenzy aka top 25 grumble grumble.
