Big Thor leveled way up, Ares maxed, IM40 and M. Storm also leveled up. All ** covers maxed except Wolvie (who I sold 3 times before this iteration). I'm still going with Patch+OBW+Daken but now I have some solid B-teams to work with as well.

Applying the 4th IM40 yellow cover was a big mistake. Some people in the d3 forum were suggesting 5/4/4 as the best build, but it just takes sooooo long to get to 12 yellow that I won't be using him often.

you'll use the Red often enough, it's the Blue that you'll never get around to using (too expensive, not worth it)

i suggest partnering him up w/The Hood, OBW, or another stunner

they had 3 events for gold thorz, and i got another green cover from a token.

Just won 4 heroic tokens, all four pulls were purple M Hawkeye. :I

9 standard tokens. 8 one stars, 1 two star captain America.

At least I have 128k ISO now.

pssssht, no idea how you amass that much. maxing out your one stars is something of a waste.
i just pulled 10k iso running through both of the latest simulator events. on a whim, invested heavily in xforce wolvie and doc doom and got both up to around L50

Boosted Dr. Doom is always a fun time, so worth it

yeah, once you get the four black matches, the boost just carves through teams

I'd max the one stars if the tourney rewards were better. But I could care less for hood.

I got seven standards and got a classic Magneto (!), Moonstar, and Bag man (!!)

bagman is the best, max him immediately

xforce is terrible, not worth any iso.

nah he sucks, like even buffed in the simulator I've been leaving him to the end, because oooh he'll cast a heal that takes 7 turns to trigger, or shoot out a bunch of weak strike tiles

whereas buffed patch is worrisome

The good thing about patch as an opponent is his green is as good as if you have patch, if yr careful. You need one guy able to take the initial hit, but then if you've been playing right, you can use the strike tiles he gives you to mop up quick.

Same here, I've been having crazy see-saw matches against CPU Patch. If you can take out his green Strike tiles quick you can ride your own pink tiles to victory

yeah i just won a sim battle against patch using his strike but I took a lot of damage getting to that point

having maxed to current level cap all my useful 3 stars, I'm working on ares now, because this tourney has another week to go & he'll be buffed throughout. mine's at 4-4-5 so I can go to 85 & rock socks off with in particular green and yellow

simulation 09, 0 man. new contender for most annoying stage. lazy thor and two green-generating minions.

most of the current boards are a pain
and the one star is a serious beating! generally losing at least one character, often all. Am i doing something wrong here?

I left in a tank team for the 1 star event.

I've won that sim 9 board a few times with spidey stun lock on lazy thor. he's been getting off one green blast but I can take that b/c he's not THAT buffed

i'm alternating between ogbw/bullseye/daken and doom/bullseye/ogbw and doom/bullseye/daken on those with varying results

Don't see the point in doing 1* tourney unless you have three fully maxed characters, every match I get is like that. Did the same as Lee.

Yeah you gotta kill Lazy Thor first, no doubt. I use Doom mostly because his HP is so jacked up w/Spidey and Wolvie

My one stars aren't fully maxed but I'm still winning most of the time. And I'm not using any of those characters on the Dr. Doom stuff anyway.

otoh match 4s sometimes generate more ap/better cascades.

but mainly i think its just to keep the difficulty down.

yeah, if the AI was smart enough to catch Match-5s it would be too much w/the buffed up chars, they can loop well enough

So here's the one true strategy for one star tourneys. (it is sloow though). mbw/storm/I35. Fight only in swamp (lower left). Race to 5 red, fire off storm's red. feed that into a thorned rose. get into a stun/green/steal loop. if you're starved on red and green, early yellows get off I35's protect tiles, which keep you in play. take out storm first, then mbw, then their tank (typically i35/venom/juggs). heal up in the prologue if necessary. repeat.

you've given me the confidence to use my 30-ish MBW and MStorm - it's a winning formula even against the maxed out teams

just got smothered using that strat, but tbf juggsy ate up enough green before I got my first storm red that they already had like 20 in every color before I had a chance to run the strat. hate juggsy so much

Tried the Patch + 2 Goons Hard Simulator mission -- I guess the goons were supply him with loads of green AP because he fired that ability in like two turns.
