my MagNow is at 4-3-4 and I drew a blue cover; should I hold out for a different build or use the blue?

on hood/moonstone/ares you always gotta take down hood first. the trick here is you need to simultaneously get red/yellow/green denial so neither moonstone or ares can nail you.

if you have some stunlock, better to keep throwing it at hood so he can't whittle away your AP while you go after him.

haven't tackled this yet -- i'm at 230/230/230 and i can see winning but not without at least one of my guys going down, probably more.

euler -- you can respect now, so use the blue if you need it to level. but 3/5/5 is i think the only way to go for magnow.

ok 3-5-5 is the optimal build; yeah I can respec eventually but don't need the levels now: finishing my cstorm and then I guess I'll turn to him or spidey

I'm getting so fucking annoyed with this PvE. Just the teams your face are so ANNOYING. Hood, juggernauts stupid headbutt, Doom, etc.

after I finish maxing cstorm (l80 now), then I think I'll work on Daken (l51 I think) and then I guess magnow? not sure yet. would love to build Ares though

Yeah, IceIX said that they tweaked rewards in the latest patch to give out HP as a Standard pull now.

So, I didn't place in the top tier after all because I left this game alone for 8 hours, ended up in top 50 and 75. At least I got a green Thor and blue C Storm out of the 3 Standard and 1 Heroic pulls, respectively!

Hah, AI just pulled off like a 7-in-a-row match on me (fortunately it was mostly environment tiles).

I just read the patch notes on the thread - overall it's kind of bad, I think. On one hand, yes, good that we get more ISO from selling 2* and up. But effectively, the 25HP is going to "share" probability with getting 3* cards and 4* cards, which sucks, because for the most part it takes ages to cardmax a 3* and we're not going to sell many of them unless you already have a God Tier roster.

Jugs + Hood/Bullseye is really mean!

BTW I finally gave in and started super tanking, that is, joining a PvE match and immediately resigning, over and over again. It takes A LOT of this but eventually levels will go down. Trying to get the levels a little lower before I try to beat the that NY mission.

Another MagNow cover (now 3/1/3), can get him to 38 -- should I still prioritize one of my tanks (Thor/Wolvie)?

shielded at #5 in psy (was at #3 and two people passed me). I have 647 pts. #10 is shielded at 540. I hope nobody breaks and tries to pass me in the next hour, but i have a feeling i'll probably fall down to top 15. If I place top 50 in pve I'll get another two panthers there and be 1/1/2. Ah well, black is his strongest color anyway...

I'm at 108. Not even going to try to get to 100000 to get the 2000 ISO reward.

I don't have wireless and an iPod, so I basically only play this game at my parents. Played a lot yesterday, so much that I surprisingly ended top 75 and won a black panther, as well as 1200 iso, hundred HP and 8 tokens. But well, I have no room for Black Panther, and only 175 HP with 200 needed. So now I'm thinking I need to go to the library anyway, to get some Deleuze for a study group, and then I can play Marvel Puzzle Quest there. I live a complicated life!

I hear that Deleuze is the next character to get unlocked after Black Panther

They already have a 2* Guattari variant though.

I think I have some rage issues with this game. The cascades that my opponent often get can just be ridiculous. I want to throw my phone into a polar vortex then.

Don't play the original puzzle quest then.

I thought the cascades were getting pretty bad this weekend; wonder if they have a setting that can let the AI look ahead a couple of turns and that they turn that in later rounds of tourneys

we're playing a digital slot machine, so i have no doubt the "luck" slider can get cranked this way or that

I was single figures in the last event with 3 1/2 hours to go, went to sleep and ended up without a Black Panther. Game feels really stacked against non-Americans.

I had my worst ever cascade today, I was playing with AstWolv and Thor (both of which are in the 70s) in the BP tourney vs maxed MBW and 1* Storm. Should have been over in no time with next to no health loss, right? I made THREE matches then it cascaded TO ViCTORY. Wiped out Wolvie and BP before the tiles stopped falling (that's, what, about 4000 points?) then wiped Thor out with stun lock and specials.

re slanted against non-Americans: I think some of the earlier tourneys ended in the middle of the night USA time? so maybe they vary that?

it didn't seem like the action in the brotherhood tourney really heated up at the end, unlike the PvP tourneys which just get nuts in the last 20-30 mins

It seems to vary; most end at midnight for me (EST), others 7 am, others 5 pm, etc.

I hit the Brotherhood hard over he weekend so that I would be safely in BP territory, shows what I know. Obviously I didn't see the end, but I was watching the score a around me as I moved up and it felt like I was passing people who weren't playing. I suppose I should have realised if I was doing it then so were other people.

Everything for about the past three weeks has finished at 3-4am UK time.

Black Panther's black ability seems pretty insane. At level 100 it does 3000 damage to the entire team.

Is anyone actually coming out ahead when they're getting attacked overnight in PVP? Is it a change in scoring, or is my max OBW/Daken combo just that formidable?

Since they made it one and done, it's been a lot easier to gain those kinds of wins in PvP. You're probably catching people offguard, not expecting that to be a good combo - that's usually how I end up losing in PvP nowadays. You need a stunner or attack tile generator to kill Lvl 69 Daken, and you don't see him that often.

also if you don't manage to take down obw before she fires off a blue or purple you're often toast. and similarly if daken throws out a bunch of strike tiles and obw hits for double you might accidentally be toast.

the constant 230 grind in pve has now made me somewhat more comfortable with getting tossed against lvl 120+ teams in pvp. in my mmr bracket i'm starting to see lots of spidey/patch combos like mine. panther so far is sort of a scrub. but i have yet to run into a seriously leveled one. (hit one at 77 but basically kept him on stunlock. neither the blue nor yellow skills caused me the least bit of trouble).

Disable the tutorial, using the gears icon on the splash screen, and you can save 50HP that you would otherwise be forced to spend on a Hawkeye or BW cover.
